It´s fake, it´s not a normal balloon, it´s a special balloon he have. How i know it? Becouse i´ll just have tried it and it dosent work with a normal balloon. And i will not pay alot of money just so i can get a special "fire proof" balloon!

@Gomblyz if it didn't work you're doing it wrong, the same thing works with a styrofoam cup. if you put a styrofoam cup next to a fire, it will melt the foam down to the water level and not bother the rest. You can also boil water in a plastic bottle. i actually am talking from experience not talking out my ass to try and sound smart.

Solution. Rubber has a melting point which is really low causing it to pop when near a heat source. But filling it with water reduces the temperature enought to where it can barely touch it right?>???

this is kind of dumb and obvious. water is heavy so it sits at the bottom of the balloon and absorbs the heat. if there was no water the hydrogen in the ballon would make it explode. duh.

@fpsleiser I'm not even sure about that... Balloon explode on a flame cause the rubber starts burning and therefore is weaker or even pierced. Water prevent the rubber to heat up too much by heat transfer. And as I'm totally assuming rubber's burning point is way higher than 100°C, even with boiling water, the ballon won't explode. It'd explode when all the water will be turned to stim and when the temperature will start raising again untill point of faillure.

I'm just assuming that.

@Ouiuioui Cause if the flame would transfer energy to the balloon faster than the rubber transfers it to the water, the rubber wouldn't be coolled down by the water enough and balloon would freaking explode. (try with a blue flame from a blowlamp and that balloon would instantly blow the hell up).
