  • I'm a teen, but this really send the shivers down my back!!

  • I can't find this version on itunes or amazon, who sings it?

  • @MrMrBoblk

This isn't the actual version. The real one is longer and nowhere near as good as this version, and the one on iTunes is the long one. If you want to see the original video associated with this song that was on an old Disney VHS, type in "Disneyland Fun" on YouTube. It's near the end.

  • Whats the scaredy cats name from sleepy hollow?

  • Ha! I knew it! Thanks, pal! I could tell it was the guy who played Tony because that guy sang "Mr. Grinch" in the animated adaptation of "The Grinch That Stole Christmas," and his voice sounded the same as that guy.

  • @WeirdAl45231 Well, Disney has the tendancy of scaring folks. Even the early shorts and films are prime examples.

  • 28 people never found a way out.

  • This is a really great video. Great job!

  • Great Video.

  • for those that are wondering the scene with the ghosts flying through the air is from Disney's Halloween Treat A Night On Bald Mountain, the hand grabbing the moon is from the tale of Sleepy Hallow which used the voice and singing talent of Bing Crosby! the other cartoons are Walt Disney's earliest cartoons called Silly Symphonies

  • that was so awesome!

  • What's the cartoon at 1:06?

  • @zachs555 thats from haunted house, a 'riginal Walt Disney cartoon

  • @F1315NJ I see that Death's a skeleton as well. Like the leader of the skeletons.

  • @F1315NJ Nah that can't be Death. He hasn't got a scythe.

  • @F1315NJ or the grim reaper

  • >__________<

I used to be terrified of this song! Tell me why, WHY I am putting it on my iPod now!? What's wrong with me?! XD

  • This should of been real Halloween music. That would of been awsome!

  • lol, i just heard the barenaked ladies sing this song

  • I used to watch this every Halloween!!

  • RIP thurl ravenscroft

  • Jack-o-lantern is the ancient symbol of a dammed soul. Halloween itself originated in paganism, and all its customs are related to pagan belief. Halloween masks and costumes, were used in, pagan ceremony , to hide one’s image , and to change the, personality of the wearer, to allow for communication with the spirit in pagan festivals or in traditional shamanism .

Trick or treat comes to us by way of pagan cults. Pagan celebrations ,were held by, Druids, in honor of Shamhain

  • @derekdb2 I guess you're not to fond of Halloween?

  • @F1315NJ How does that in any way indicate he's not fond of it? I'm fully aware of the holiday's pagan origins and I love to celebrate it. Pagan=/=bad.

  • @derekdb2 Lighten up! I'm going trick or treating dressed as Jesus.

  • @derekdb2 You need to learn how to use commas properly before I take anything you say seriously. Because, your writing, looks like, this. And that makes you look dumb.

  • @derekdb2 Too sinful to be admitted to Heaven, but had made a deal that would keeep him out of Hell. Just spent the past three days teaching Korean kids about the legends and myths - as part of teaching them English of course. They had a tough time pronouncing the Welsh and (regarding the Flying Dutchman) Dutch words.

  • @derekdb2

Derek, not exactly. Hallowe'en is the proper name because it refers to a "hallowed even" or without the Old English pronunciation "Hallowed Evening." It is a hallowed evening because it is the evening before All Saints Day, a day that the Church did change from May 13th to Nov 1st. However, Nov 2 is the feast of All Souls Day, trick-or-treating has its origins here, where after the parade, children would go door to door (souling) performing and, in return, were given a "soul cake,"

  • @derekdb2

The combination of the 3 days (All Hallows, All Saints and All Souls) would come to be called Hallowmas, because, traditionally, Masses would be said on those days, especially All Souls, in honor of the dead. I will give you the legend of Jack though, but that, like many stories, is just that a scary story that probably originated in Ireland but made it's way here, using a pumpkin instead of a turnip.

  • @derekdb2 That is where it came from but Christmas came from a pagan festival to the sun god and was used for celebration of the birth of the son of God~(jesus born on passover not Dec)..all things change with time..halloween NOW is a night to celebrate the human emotion of fear in a fun way for kids..candy, spooky stories, and costumes are just for fun, we don't make jack o's to honor souls, but rather cuz they look cool and are fun to carve. Its all just fun, enjoy it!

  • @derekdb2 But you're forgetting two very important things. Dressing up in whatever costume we wish gives us the opportunity to acquire massive amounts of candy, which are secular and delicious, and it gives women the chance to dress up in sexy outfits of whatever they wish, which is good eye candy as well. Pagan roots or not, Halloween is still fun. Of course, Christmas' timing on Dec 25th is also rooted in paganism, but the truth is that Jesus could have been born at any time.

  • @derekdb2

    @derekdb2

I'm going to take a wild guess here and say you're a crazy religious person, I'd guess a Christians. You would care to know no sane person cares if Halloween was a pagan holiday and you would also care to know the Christmas was originally the "Birthday of the Unconquered Sun" which was, that's right, a pagan holiday.

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH I'm a christian and what dere said is G@y... but hey thats just my opinion but what you say is the Truth

  • @derekdb2 What have you got against Pagans? How rude.

  • @derekdb2 I hope you know that Pagans do not care that much about Halloween. Some celebrate it just for the fun of it. Im pagan and it one of my favorite holidays. Get a life and dont dis on Disney songs

  • @derekdb2 wow u looked up halloween on wikipedea and it totly diffirent now so go away u dumb ass

  • @derekdb2 Who cares...?

  • Check out the Halloween station on the DJPAULIE site. It has some of the best Halloween songs ever.

  • that has always been one of my favorite Halloween songs ever.

  • ha! love nostalgic reminds me of being a lil kid halloween is my favorite time of year! BOO!!! HA HA HA!

  • I'm surprised Disney hasn't taken this down yet.

  • what clip is the 1:06 bit from?

  • This is why I faved this video, so I could whip it out around halloween time. I just love watching movies like this around halloween.

  • Where did you get the sound file for this vid? I have been trying to find an mp3 of this particular version of this song.

  • @jewelsf76 i got the song from another video online, and used the audio for it

  • @F1315NJ do you have an exact location for this? the mp3 version i mean.

i would really appreciate it :)

  • omg i found suicidemouse dot avi!!!

  • 0:01 - 0:06 WHERE DID YOU GET THAT CLIP? I saw a music video like that in some disney video and I think there were dancing trees outside or something and the disney characters inside the mansion were trying to get out of it. I barely remember anything, just a couple faint images.

  • Ohhhh... this is the song from the Disney ride! Coolz

  • I remember this song. I listened to it as I hid my head in my mother's shoulder. It creeped me out to no end, and this just brought back the memories. being able to mix creepiness and not creep people out so much they change is a gift. You have it.

  • @DragonitesareAwesome That's one hell of an observation.

  • @DragonitesareAwesome I remember it too, that's why I looked it up. Odd, the ghosts seemed so much more scarier before xD

  • @DragonitesareAwesome

Isn't this the track that plays at Disney World's Haunted Mansion, or is that a different song?

  • @CosplayCore Yep. That is the song.

  • @CosplayCore Yes, this song is featured as you go through the graveyard. The busts sing it..however you go through so fast it's impossible to hear the entire song. This is the first time i've been able to hear all the lyrics, although this is a different arrangement (the one in the ride is a quartet). I've never been to Disney World, only disney Land, but I know this is the song that the busts sing :)

  • omg! i used to love this song as a little kid! its funny, at about 8 or 9 years later, how i still remember all the words. i remeber, how when i was younger i would sit and watch the music video tape with my grandpa. i guess the best memories never really go away huh?

  • Is that Tony the Tiger singing that? - He also sang "the Grinch" song.

  • Thurl Ravenscroft. He was one of the finest vocal artists, along with Paul Frees, who also did voices for the Haunted Mansion.

  • @Jesseontheweb Yep. Thurl Ravenscroft, aka Tony, headlined the music for the song.

  • Great little video tribute to Walt Disney, who could always put together a spooky show for the Halloween season. You did an excellent job and you gotta love the singing voice of Thurl Ravencroft. Could you please tell me though what is the cartoon at 0:58 with Mickey and the skeletons?

  • @RavenHouseMystery Haunted House

  • @F1315NJ Haunted House, got it. Thank you.:-)

  • ps: from what movie is the beginning with those flying cartoon ghosts?

  • the beginning with the flying ghosts looks so cool :) kinda spooky not only for kids

  • This is the epitome of all the wonderful ghosty ghoulie stuff I loved as a kid, growing up in the 80's. Love it!!

    Thanks :)

  • i am SO ready for halloween

  • this used to scare me shitless.

  • @uhhiimlex Me toooooo! thats what made me remember this song!

  • what movie is at 1:18

  • is that a movie at 1:17 and if it is what is the movies name?

  • i owned a movie when i was a kid, it was an old movie....it was halloween and mickey and minnie and all the other ones were there, but it looked like they do at disney land. it had these 3 kids, 2 girls and a boy, and there were tons of songs....5 little pumpkins, grim grinning ghosts, im casting a spell on you, and tons more...can anyone tell me what movie that was please?!?!?!?

  • @rockendiva Disney's Sing Along Songs - Happy Haunting

  • @rockendiva i have it 2

  • @rockendiva Yeah, TOTALLY! I loved that thing when I was younger!

  • @rockendiva I remember I had that thing as a kid! I wish I could find it!

  • @rockendiva: If no one's answered you already, this song is from the "Disney Sing-Along" video "Disneyland Fun".

  • I really wish they did that scene from 0:07 to 0:13 with that creepy sky with the spirits and skeletons flying through in that one big room in the Haunted Mansion Ride where you get on the Doombuggies. In the background, they have a massive projection of the creepy, dark blue sky, but no ghosts. I think disturbing ghosts like the birdman creature riding the skeleton horse in the sky, alongside all the ghosts, would be awesome! Who agrees? :)

  • OMG!! I used to love this one on this disney singalong songs VHS I had years ago. I think it was 1998?

  • @987Mysticdream The video came out earlier than that. 1993 I think.

  • @JellicleKat Not really.

  • AHH, love this.

Does anyone remember the exact video of the gates opening?

There was a video to this that went further then the gates opening.

It had mascots dancing and stuff happening inside that mansion.

  • @iamahomosexualmale Yes, that was from Disney's Sing Along Songs - Disneyland Fun.

  • i prefer this version

  • LOL! DID I POO MYSELF?!?. SOOOOOOO SCARY DUDE.

  • nice i love it

  • Nobody does Halloween like Disney! Great video!
