  • blasting this for Valentine's Day. R.I.P. Pete!

  • What cracks me up is that (man of many talents) Peter Steele sings the "Tony Iommi" line with a Brummy accent. RIP Pete, you're sadly missed.

  • What an awesome song! Would have been even cooler if Peter & Tony did an album together.

  • Man im fucked up right now listening to this

  • this is really doom

  • Peter and tthe god of the Metal Riff in the same song.. uh-oh.. *head explodes lol

  • Soundgarden Kitchen (Sepherd + Cameron)

  • Love the heavy ominous riffs!!

  • Iommi + Steele = Awesome.

  • Pete Steele is one of a kind. He Sound like Pete. The one and only singer to rock this whole image.

  • you could say that the guy from sisters of mercy sounded a lot like him but the long and short is he's the first and the last. A symbol of how standing out should be done.

  • Peter's voice is hypnotizing *sigh*

  • just say no to love and to all the mess he brings

  • Steele and Iommi it makes perfect sense to me \m/

  • I copied this cd off my dad who is over 55 nice choice in music daddy o fuck yeah

  • Damn....Peter Steele has a unique voice...R.I.P. Pete...

  • I liked Peter Steele's voice better in Carnivore than Type O Negative

  • Iommi and Steele... a match made in heaven.... And hell.

    C wut I did thar?...

  • @TheInbornMechanics I absolutely agree with you....a terrible tragic loss....

  • One of the best voices in music!! No one can beat Peter...miss him still, miss him always...love him always

  • @JusOrdinary no one can beat a boring-ass 'boris karloff' croak that has become the stereotype for every baritone singer in metal?

Why the fuck can't baritones sing cool stuff? all the tenors, like robert plant, bruce dickinson, rob halford, dio and every other power metal singer, get to have all the fun and what do baritones get? THIS crap!

  • @bookworm1138 Funny I don't recall ever hearing any other singer sound like Peter Steele. Feel like naming off some similar singers?

  • @bookworm1138 I think you're mistaking baritone with bass.

Also, this song is awesome and so is Type O Negative.

  • @bookworm1138 the stereo type you refer to can be blamed equally on burton c bell ?

  • fuckin love this

  • "You dumped me for Tony Iommi"

    Ha!!

Best line in the whole song.

  • This song turned me onto Peter Steele. I'd never heard his voice until this song. It's evil AS FUCK, haha.

    RIP

  • GAWD Pete made this song!

  • 3 people said yes to love

  • This is clearly all Peter, I dont know how anybody thought this was Kenny.

  • FUCKING LOVE THIS

  • one of my all time favorites

  • that is Peter Steele singing on the entire song. anyone who has listened to Type O through out the years or even Carnivore knows he sings in several different ways. Kenny does sound similar but this without question is all the man of Steele. RIP

  • Is that still Steele singing on the chorus? It sounds pretty different from his regular high notes.

  • @Thetarantinomaniac sounds like Kenny to me, but i have been known to be wrong before. But it does sound AWESOME!!!!

  • @MrShadow92000 But he's not featured on this song, is he?

  • @Thetarantinomaniac i think it sounds like Kenny, either way it is GREAT. who knows it may just be that Tony sat in with TYPE O or something to that nature

  • @MrShadow92000 I doubt it. This is off Iommi's solo album, so I don't think he'd switch up the entire band then just credit Steele for the collaboration.

  • @Thetarantinomaniac Pete did all the vocals in this song. A MASTERPIECE!

  • This combination sounds pretttty dark to me... Without a doubt that's the way it was meant to be but still:D

  • Awesome... RIP Pete Steele, a great doom-goth singer.

  • Wow, the studio production on this track really is better than any of the Type-O stuff.

Very well balanced classic metal stuff. It would have been nice if Iommi had helped produce more stuff with Peter et al.

  • brilliant Pete....

  • aww, i just got my iommi album out, and some asshole scratched the shit out of it :*(

  • dayum such a dracula-like voice :D

  • I will really miss this amazing voice of Peter. R.i.p. Brother. See you there

  • Wow.... This was recorded in 2000, how have I not heard of it until now? I'm almost ashamed of myself. I listened to Type O all through high school, and I missed this masterpiece.

The sheer amount of talent in this song is blowing me away, I'm surprised my speakers haven't caught fire yet.

  • RIP peter.....my bass playing idol

  • Tony Iommi IS doom metal

    Doom metal IS tony Iommi

  • Tony Iommi IS doom metal

  • they fit so well together it almost made me cry

  • Fuck, that guy had a voice! I gotta start listening to some Type O Negative. I've been missing out

  • @NightmareBladez Damn right, dude! Pete was a beast, both on bass and vocals. The Type O discography is pretty diverse, the first two albums are more thrash orientated, if I recall correctly most of the songs were written during Pete's days with Carnivore. The real gothic theme comes in with Bloody Kisses. World Coming Down is very down-tempo compared to other albums. What I'm saying is be sure to check out songs from all of the albums, there's something for everyone! :-)

  • Check out this..search: peter steele tribute song 2010..

  • Wow, I had no idea that Pete died! Sucks - what a great voice. This is a great tune - Think I will have to get the album soon. The other song with Phil Anselmo is wicked too :) .

  • RIP Peter Steele

  • it's still EXTREMELY hard for me to cope with Peter's death... Call me crazy or delusional but when I play his songs I feel like his soul is standing right behind me and it gives me chills.. I don't know. Maybe it's some sort of "defense mechanism" for coping..?

  • This very good but the original version was with Scooter Ward. I have a lot of respect Peter and I'm a huge fan of Type O but Something Wicked This Way Comes is better in my opinion.

  • I can't find this song anywhere! Can somene help me please and send it to me? I'll DM you my email. Please, it's really important.

  • Now Fucking Way! Awsome

  • @N00bOfDarkness MOORE than alot :-( :-( Now lifes NOT worth living :-( im getting depri again :-( R.I.P. PETRUS!!!

  • @wolfslairDK Check out this..search: peter steele tribute song 2010..

  • October Rust.. need i say more

  • @DrGonzo812

    No you dont.

    Pete was the man.

  • Still cant believe that hes gone

  • Left is right and right is wrong...words to live by.

  • God damn, Steele is amazing. Type O is one of the bands that got me into metal; it's a shame he's dead.

    R.I.P. Peter

  • I agree they should have done more together, this is cool.

    R.I.P. Peter

  • God that man is one hell of musician, there's no one out there like him.

Its a damn shame he died.

  • SUPER!!!!!!!!!!

  • And this is suppose to be a love song...gives me chills

  • Holy shit, Tony´s solos and riffs are fucking amazing, also Pete+Tony is an awsome combination, its a Pity they didnt anything else togheter. RIP Peter!!

  • Love the lyrics.... LOVE Peter's voice... Makes me sad.

  • The breakdown at 2:40 is NIN through and through. Lovely riffage from Iommi, with some good vocals. Page and Iommi are masters of the riff!

  • Rest in Peace Peter, you dieing sucks and I wish it didn't happen. You were suppose to start another album which I am sure would have been great.

  • R.I.P. Peter Steele - You are already sadly missed...

  • that voice makes this sound so dark all by its self then you add some heavy doom riffs from the legend and you get pure epic material

  • Great tune. R.I.P. Peter.

  • rip pete

  • a poet, a romantic a philosopher & a bloody great comedian.

    devastated!

The King of Goth is dead

  • rip peter

  • Why are all of my heros dead.

  • Great song and RIP Peter

  • Peter's black humor shine even on this track.. Peter you will not be forgotten!

  • Rest in peace, Pete, we're all going to miss you a lot.

  • R.I.P Pete....damn the world lost a beast

  • RIP PETE! :(

  • R.I.P - Pete Steel - R.I.P

  • awesome, awesome,.did I say this is awesome!

  • I love it and Pete loves Sabbath so I bet he had fun making it.

  • Damn this song is KILLER

  • Daaaaamn good!!!

  • "i left the stage cause i thought i had to shit but i lost the feeling" -Pete

  • That quote is sooooo Pete. LOL :)

  • peter steele is the man

shit put him in a soulja boy song he'll even make it good

  • all for none and none for all. type o october 22 nyc 2009 i cant wait!!!!!!!

  • The Sabbath album Seventh Star was supposed to be like this Iommi album, every song having a different vocalist, but the record company didn't want to pay a bunch of other companies for release of the singers Tony wanted, so this is something he'd been trying for for a long time.

  • that's not quite right. iommi wanted it to be a solo album, but he always intended glenn hughes to be the singer. his manager don arden pressured him to make it into a sabbath album, but only the name changed. there wasnt any intention of having more than one singer.

there was another album, though, called fused, which came out as iommi/hughes, which is much in the spirit of what seventh star was supposed to be.

  • peter steele could have been terrific as singer bassist of black sabbath. With tony iommi, together, it sounds very dark.

  • pete could have even been amazing in a gay 2 step rap song or a emo rock song

    hes the greatest

  • these lyrics are hilarious! "a fitting end for a phony / you dumped me for tony iommi" i wonder what "jon lord said that you were killed / not possibly be more thrilled" is about. i know jon played keys for deep purple, but what is his relation?

  • i want this played at my funeral.

  • Signature Iommi sound throughout the track and the singer is fuckin' wicked, I would totally buy the next Sabbath album if this dude took over vocals !

  • just get type o negative albums

peter steele is fuckin great man

  • even better with carnivore their self titled album owns all and i still have the original cassette crank it all the time.

  • He WOULD be great for the Sabbath sound, wouldn't he though? I'm getting chills just thinking about that............:)

  • Yep. Peter Steele has some great tone. I saw them back in the 90's with Queensryche and they were way out of the ordinary. Great show.

  • @DariusKnightshade Get Carnivore albums too

  • @TezinaBenzina oh yea and the bootlegs and from witchblade

i have all the stuff they did

  • Wow killer!!!!

  • ive heard about this song for about a year now but ive never heard it...thanks for the upload

  • ooooh that voice.

  • Peter Steele's vocals are always epic! This fucking cool!

  • peter should have stuck with carnivore they were fucking awesome and we all no how great sabbath were.

  • How about a sabbath tour with Steele on vocals instead of ozzy? That might be interesting.

  • That does sound interesting. I would pay to see that. Pete has an amazing voice.

  • ever hear the type o negative version of the song black sabbath??? now thats some dark stuff!!!

  • @Sawyer5500 More than Interesting I must say!!! but I'd prefer a tour with Mike Patton on vox! :P

  • @Sawyer5500 if only that could've happened

  • @Sawyer5500 that would had been awesome had pete steel not passed earlier this year :( tho your comment was posted before his death it is still very sad.

  • @Sawyer5500 It would have been quite amazing....

    RIP Peter

  • @Sawyer5500 Now that's thinking outside the box. GREAT IDEA! I certainly would have paid "fifteen American dollars" to see that.

  • @Sawyer5500 that woulda been wicked ... t obad theres no cance of that :((((

  • @Sawyer5500 Might have been cool, but I wonder if he'd actually be willing to sing "Black Sabbath" and "Paranoid" in their original forms, haha. If not, the rest of the band would have to be cool with playing "Black Sabbath (From The Satanic Perspective)".

  • @Sawyer5500 Wish it was possible :(

  • @Sawyer5500 Heh, only if he weren't fuckig worm food.

  • Two eras of music coming together, fucking awesome!!!

  • this was originally a song with the guy from cold, did you know that?

  • Whoa this is pretty sweet. I kind of worship sabbath and type o so this is a pleasant suprise. Although I would of asked that there would be a little more emphasis on tony's guitar.

  • Have you heard the least worst of type o negative?? cover one sabbath song beautifully.

  • They do some great Beatles covers also

  • Like day tripper on world coming down. You know any others??

  • The have done Back in the USSR, i havent seen it on an album but its on a live performance somewhere on youtube

  • They've also covered "Bad Moon Rising" By CCR and "Light My Fire" by the Doors. Both are bootlegs and awesome. The Type O album Origin of the Feces has an awesome cover of "Paranoid".

  • Comment removed

  • This is quite a good song, of course we all know what mr Iommi is capable of with his guitar, but Pete's vocals are awesome and the vampire voice he had with Type O recoreded Bloody Kisses. This song rocks!

  • by far the best vocal track of pete.

  • Iommi Really paid attention to who he got on this album...all the vocalist went good with his Riffs...Peter Steele is Kick ass...His Voive sounds Like Dracula

  • It be cool if Peter Steel cover the dracula song off the sarah marashall movie. Ever hear it?

  • You know what I love about Iommi and even Geezer's side project, G/Z/R? It's that they pick good Heavy Metal musicians to come and record songs on their solo material unlike many other bands that let Trivium and other mallcore shit come on albums and tours with them.

  • It's not the bands choice who they get to tour with, the label decides that. Which is why you find lots of shitty mallcore bands touring with legends.

  • yeah danzig is good but Steele... oh man this deep bass voice is fantastic.

  • i love it man.

peter is probably one of my favorite vocalists aside from glenn danzig, and dave mustaine, and ronnie james dio.

  • first time hearing it, perfect!

  • Happy Birthday Tony!!...Hail the master of Metal guitar!!!!

  • man..i dig this song

  • Can you put up Patterns with Serj? Plz.

  • Sure

  • Great song,I'm going to buy the album to listen to it forever

  • Sounds to similar to time is mine.

  • I love this song. :-)

Thanks for posting it. I haven't heard it in a while.

  • wow thanks for putting this up. both of my gods in the same song...amazing
