Ok, it's an horse driven plough - not heavy to pull. I saw once some russian photo with the woman pulling the plough like this and the man pushing from behind.
When the weather permitted (ie, the land was not wet), then yes, the whole field. And when the earth was damp, Niva stuck. In this case, reveals the groove with potatoes, the tractor.
thank you for telling me that! i may have to try that at my parents farm as our tractor broke last year and we have been turning the land with shovels since.
well done!
yes, happy new year to you as well and a late merry Christmas!
i have a 1978 international harvester scout II. it has a 305 V8 engine in it. the front axle is solid so it works very well in the mud, but the gear ratio makes it very slow on the road. i can only do around 90 km/h at the most. it's a 4x4. i do have a video of it on my page so take a look if you feel like it.
ah, a plow horse:) was it a heavy horse or one that could be used for riding too?
Wow! Not even aware of the existence of such a car! Interesting car.
And what is the gear ratio in the transfer case gears?
And about the horse, you misunderstand me: I meant that he had a plow that I have, it was fixed to the horse and the horse was dragging him. I with the English language is not very friendly. I am from Russia
Permanent four-wheel-drive(full time). Ie differential is: front suspension, rear suspension, and transfer case gears. I do not know what your soil, first think of the Russian not particularly distinguished, above all to be able to pull a tillage jammed cars.
yes, the scout does use a lot of fuel. you most likely get twice the gas mileage that i do!
the soil where i am in canada is very much like the soil in most of central russia and the ukraine. the soil is very black, but if you dig too deep then there is clay.
And what is your weather in spring, autumn (usually at this time, cultivate the land)? Ie the ground is wet or dry? That's me to the fact that not stuck to the car! By the way, but how much weight your car?
the weather really depends on the year. most years it is very dry here. it is essentially a semi arid steppe. my parents farm is right on the boundary between the taiga and the prairie. we usually cultivate the land in the spring. then we seed the land.

yes, it is a very good car. the entire roof can be removed in the summer time.
the gear ratio is very good for being off road, but it is terrible on the highway. the ratio is around 3:54.
it has dana 44 axles in it. they are very strong and heavy.
please... your english is very good! your english is much better than my russian!!! LOL! :D
what is the gear ratio in the niva?
TheMapper 2 years ago
Yes, great. But certainly a lot of fuel consumption. Gear ratio in the Niva:
LOW transmission - 2,135
High transmission - 1,2
Engine 4 cylinders, in-line arrangement. 8 valves. 80 horsepower.
Permanent four-wheel-drive(full time). Ie differential is: front suspension, rear suspension, and transfer case gears. I do not know what your soil, first think of the Russian not particularly distinguished, above all to be able to pull a tillage jammed cars.
