  • Just saying that Sting also had a few RPGs on the DC. Evolution and it sequel are a few examples.

They've been making games since the early 90's.

  • i hate the graphics

  • Q-bert + Yggdra Union= this

  • Gasp a srpg being released in north America! this looks awesome, between this and growlanser and the y's games i still need to pick up i will be very busy for a while on my psp.

  • Sting's games' storyline is becoming more darker each time, I still remember riviera and it have light storyline but after that all their games becoming more darker

  • This looks great - hopefully it won't be a trip-up like Mytran Wars was.

  • 'hugs atlus' thank you for localizing this.

  • Looks good but is the gameflow going to be really linear with only story battles?

(Yggdra Union, the earlier Fire Emblems, Eternal Poison, etc.)

  • ok another stupid turned based RPG... sigh.... Persona is an Exception tho.... if i were to play a tactical game.... i say persona is much more worth of playing... but im not saying i hate this game tho... i was expecting games like the upcoming God eater 2 or an english ver. of FF type-0..

  • The PSP is king for this tactical genre.

  • @CatherineHunterRank6

    japanese yes, but english nope

    it'll be coming in april

  • @MrDerpgasm I see... thanks...

  • Ooh.. another good game worth buying..... .>_< is this out already in the market...?

  • looks a lot like one of the heaven series...

  • seems a lot like fft

  • wow are these the same guys that did FFT? very similar styles, music and gameplay wise.

  • @Laihoistheman

no no no, squeenix does all final fantasy games

google "dept heaven" or "sting games"

  • @MrDerpgasm FFT was actually made by Quest, who were hired by Square to do a Final Fantasy version of Tactics Ogre.

  • @94mav98 well your right and wrong, FFT was made by 3 quest members that left quest and joined square. square didnt hire them just to make FFT, they just plain hired. the 3 workers themselves decided to make another SRPG like Tactics Ogre but with the Final Fantasy name.

  • Good news guys its gonna be released in the US in June 2012

  • This looks pretty fun, but I don't see why they've marked this as Episode IX...

  • Perfect mixture of 2D and 3D.

  • Sting could sell me a bag of shit and I'll buy it and love every last bit of it

  • This game looks great!! When Will we get to see it in the US? I hope very soon. :)

  • it seems like a mix between knights in the nightmare and yggdra union

  • @TriggerFlame300 Well this game was made by the same people so obviously the graphical similarities are there, but otherwise this hardly compares to KitN and YU game play wise.

  • WTF no voices...ZHP seems better.

  • @Morrnsta How do you compare a roguelike to a tactical strategy RPG? Oh, right, you don't!

  • @McSSJust

Okay, if you wanna compare tactical strategy RPG, I would say Adventures to Go is better, even though it's from Global A, notorious for fetch quests (My World My Way). That one makes me laugh, while this Gungnir puts me to sleep. Then again, I might be biased towards Sting because I've never liked any of their games since Riviera (GBA) -Yggdra made no sense to me, Hexyz Force was as easy as cakewalk (unless you provke the chests of doom). I suggested ZHP because it plays similarly.

  • @Morrnsta

In case my post wasn't clear (the since Riviera part), I liked Riviera (GBA) alot, the rest of Sting's games, no. ahaha...

  • @Morrnsta

    Well, okay.

But honestly, I love Sting because although they're pretty young in the business, they have an RTS (Yggdra Unison), RTSRPG (Yggdra Union, Blaze Union), SRPG (Gungnir), TurnBasedRPG (Riviera, Hexyz), Shmup/RTS fusion (Knights in Nightmare), Partygame/RPG crossup (Dokapon), and what have you.

See what I mean? Such a variety. Broadens my gaming taste so well. Fucking love Sting.

But hey, just my two cents.

  • @nisbahmumtaz909

    and you fogot roguelike baroque.

i agree with you. i love sting games.

  • @ceifadorx

I have been planning on getting that for the PS2.

    Thanks for reminding me.

  • @nisbahmumtaz909 someone never owned a dreamcast, I guess :V

  • @ZetbladeX13

Oh, you mean that Treasure something-or-other game?

Yeah, never really had a chance to play dreamcast.

I've played Jet Grind Radio on my friend's before. Game's freaking sweet.
