  • When I was 12 I went bowling with some classmates of mine. This game was in the bowling alley; I've never forgotten it.

  • @yougetagoldstar Same here! I was a kid and played it in the Arcade with my cousins. Wish it was still there, one of the most fun co-op experiences I've ever had.

  • Now THIS needs to be ported to Xbox LIVE and PSN ...

  • I loved this game I played it on arcade is if I may ask where did ya get this game did ya download it anywhere and if so where because i'd love to play this game again

  • @crazyninjaOMG8:

Neither. This is from the Arcade.

  • D&D FTW!

  • At this ethnic grocery store I went to back in the mid 90s, they had some arcade games. They had a whole bunch of Street Fighters, an NBA Jam game, and this game. I usually played this game, and NBA Jam.

  • Man, you guys make a great team together!

    Hope your teamwork never ends!

  • And thus are intrepid adventurers set off on their journey...

  • HOLY SHIT i forgot all about this game!!!!! I used to play this at the arcade!

  • i used to play this on arcade all the time

  • Do you own this game or is it emulated?

  • What the hell is each character saying when they get knocked down and get back up?

  • Question, Nz0x--What edition PHB is this arcade game based on?

  • My apologies but what does PHB stand for?

  • @Nz0x

PHB stands for Players Handbook for ADVANCED Dungeons and Dragons. This game is based off of "basic" D&D in the world of Mystara.

This is why "Elf" and "Dwarf" are classes and not races.

  • Appreciate that info, especially about the Elf and Dwarf details. Played the game alot but never kinda bothered to know the finer details of the game. I would have bet anything that they were races since they use elves and dwarfs in others games. Really appreciate that again.

  • @Nz0x

Well they are races, but in basic D&D race/class are synonymous. Dwarves are basically Dwarven fighters. Elves are basically Elven fighter/mages. And Halflings are Halfling fighters.

Like, you can't be an Elven mage or a Dwarven cleric. Its a bit limited but hey, its basic D&D.

  • Player's Hand Book.

This actually appears to be based upon either the product just called "Dungeons and Dragons" (not "first edition"), or on AD&D 2nd Edition.

  • 1st Edition. The Magic User is an Elf, Elf being a class and not a race. The time that the Japanese probably got a translated version of Dungeons and Dragon meant a lot of D&D related stuff created a booming roar of interest in that section, spawning stuff like Berserk, Bastard!, Record of Lodoss War, and other young medieval animes and games that were not just generic tosses into the age.

  • :D since I was a kid I laughed at fighters scream - OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

  • sexy elf. fighter my favorite. this my favorite arcade game. D&D rocks.

  • Gotta looove the elf!

  • Great video.

But why did your colors switch to purple when fighting the Ogre Leader?

  • Thank you. I think its because of the cave that changed how we looked if i had to guess.

  • The colors switched to purple to give the effect like you're deep in a cave with very little light
