@RushBeatles Correct to an extent. What you're referring to I'm guessing is the original picture. If I'm not mistaken it's Naudiz or Nauðr in the Futhark, basically the n-rune. Christians probably adopted it to an extent to make their faith more accessible, as they did with building churches over pagan/heathen groves, temples and holy grounds.
@HellOnEarth1989 It might be a Naudiz rune, I thought the same thing at first but then I noticed how the wood was tilted, it looks like it was done that way on purpose. the Naudiz rune is like a crucifix but with a purposely tilted part.
