I bought Zeppelins first album circa 1969 that and the next three were among the best rock albums ever (along with the early Deep Purple and Black Sabbath LPs).
After that they just got too big and self-indulgent. I used to buy their later albums and only like one or two tracks on them. Kashmir, for example, is just bloody boring. They thought they could just put any old rubbish out and people would buy it.
@DANizDAN know them , too, i really like what they are doing and their stage performance is the best, but i dont really like their music since i dont really love ac/dc that much. just my taste.
Led Zeppelin was at Live Aid in Philadelphia, PA, not Washington, DC, not that they were happy with that performance, but the video can at least get the location correct.
Come on people, just because the bass player in Them Crooked Vultures is a legend doesnt mean their music is anywhere near to being in the same stratosphere as the mighty Led Zeppelin.
oh bollocks. Collins was fucking up, but Page was drunk as a sailor, Plant was hoarse and forgetting the lyrics...i mean, the failure is to be blamed on ALL of them, not just one
