  • Boy, this brings back great memories! Love it.

  • fab track!

  • I remember this when I was in high school driving on the main drag looking for chicks. Still sounds like yesterday.

  • Oh,Wow! Its been years since ive heard this! One of my very favorites! Thank you so much for posting it. Its a nice clear sound too!

  • @horsenaround - you're very welcome!

  • Lorraine Calluzzo's whacking...

  • I wanna be Rosemary.

  • Hehehee!! My name is Rosemary!!!! XD

  • This song was number one in the UK when I was born. It's also the first time I've heard it.

  • This song is MY heroin(e)...an injection of an instant feel-good-all-over aura every time I sing along to it !!! It takes me back to riding in the back seat of my Dad's Plymouth when Edison LIghthouse, Gilbert O'Sullivan, Lobo and Three Dog Night were ridin' high on the AM Dial ! Thanks for Sharing ! : )-

  • Wow, does this song bring back memories.......in jr. high school or younger.......used to sing to all these songs........yeah, they weren't the Led Zeps or Aerosmith's of our day, but they brought a "feel good" nostalgianess to alot of our lives.........love it.

  • This song is on the jukebox at the local bar, and everytime I play it, EVERYBODY, even young ones sing it!

  • To add to my previous post Tony Burrows has also backed Elton John and Cliff Richard. Who says that the 60s singers were a thing of the past? They are still with us in one form or another unlike the Simon Cowell karaoke wannabes and silly girlie pop groups who are here today and gone tomorrow back to stacking shelves.

  • Tony Burrows lead singer has sung as a backing singer on more UK group than any other singer now aged 69

  • oh how awesome :)

  • What a GREAT feel good song!!!

  • BRB GOTTA DANCE :)

  • The dislikes need to meet Rosemary.

  • On this day, I am thankful to you Rosemary for the strange, always confusing, beautiful situations you bring to my life!

    Thank You, Rosemary....

  • Tony Burrows, the lead singer, hit BIG in Feb. 1970 with this. Then in March 1970 with "My Baby Loves Lovin" (White Plains) and April 1970 with "Gimme Dat Ding" (The Pipkins). Later in 1970 he hit again with "United We Stand" (The Brotherhood of Man) and finally in 1974 with "Beach Baby" (First Class). Basically, Tony was THE "band".

  • meant # 1 in

    UK CHARTS

  • made it to # 5 in us but # 1 IN US CHARTS FUK YEA EDISON LIGHTHOUSE !!

  • when I was a kid I thought my mom should of named me Rosemary...I pretended it was my Theme song(kids and their imagaination

  • a happy song celebrating the love of a woman!

  • This was the first 45 I ever bought. I worked all week on my paper route to buy it. Wish I could go back and live it again............

  • Love it.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG I MARRIED ROSEMARY NELSON SHEHORN

  • Thumbs up if the awesome movie SHALLOW HAL brought you here!

  • Don't you just miss songs that feature REAL instruments? I never get tired of hearing the strings in the background.

  • One of my all time oldies! I can listen to it everyday! I play it on our jukebox in the local bar, and even the young crowd likes it!

  • I love this!!

  • When I hear this in a supermarket I say oh oh,means I'm fixing to sing this song

  • @donnellraymond4 LMAO!!! I was singing along with this in the grocery store last weekend!

  • This band were a studio band. They were only ever seen on TV and heard on the radio. They never played on a stage or toured. You may find that apart from Tony Burrows, most were not at the recording.

  • @NearAbbeyRoad You couldn't be more wrong. They all toured extensively both here in the UK & Europe. They gigged with the likes of Chuck Berry, Canned Heat & Roy Orbison. They also recorded several versions of this song. Dave Taylor, Bass went on to record albums with John Allcock (Thin Lizzie) in LA & still gigs now!

  • The intro makes this. One of the best ever.

  • It's got this nice 70's type rock rythm to it....brings back alot!!!! LeoJPaul

  • From "Reservoir Dogs":

"That was the Partridge Family's 'Doesn't Somebody Want To Be Wanted', followed by Edison Lighthouse's 'Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes'. This is K-Billy's Super Sounds Of The '70s Weekend. Just keeps on...truckin'...."
