Listening to this voice is easy to understand why Anna Netrebko is always accused in being the insufficient coloratura, as the comparison is the very bright illustration. I-personally, who was born with coloratura, is extremely angry at myself for not studying and working professionally. Maybe I was able to achieve something like this, with its obvious beauty and professional stability, but, again, maybe, not.

mezzos can sound feminine and sexy too, just listen to a Rosina, Cinderella, or most other Rossini female leads. you also get to play fun villains like Klytemnestra and Azucena

PS: mezzos usually look better too (sopranos have a tendency to "puff up"). just look at joyce didonato, jennifer larmore or eula beal.
