Hello, reader. If you started reading this, don't stop or else. I hate people who post these kind of comments but.... Post this to 16 videos in 30 minutes and promise your self to never listen to these kind of comments or make one up. But this one is real.If you don't post this, a boy with no head or legs will show up in ur room at midnight kill you. Everyone will forget u. start posting. the timer will start as soon as you finish reading this. yes I do hate these coments
Your comparison is so ridiculous is like saying that Cat Woman is better then Alice in Wonderland. Whitney and Natalie are HUGE singers each one of them in there style of music. God bless them both.
I've always enjoyed Dessay's instrument. She looks like a lovely person as well, with such big expressive eyes!.......I like to send this off to people who don't normally listen to opera, to get them interested in opera. Just trying to do my part to spread the word!
I love seeing her on camera... She was a delight in the film of La fille du régiment, back in 2007 and the Stravinsky Nightingale... just check IMDB to verify those sightings and learned that her Zerbinetta is recorded as well.... would love, love, love to see that!
Listening to this voice is easy to understand why Anna Netrebko is always accused in being the insufficient coloratura, as the comparison is the very bright illustration. I-personally, who was born with coloratura, is extremely angry at myself for not studying and working professionally. Maybe I was able to achieve something like this, with its obvious beauty and professional stability, but, again, maybe, not.
@okebaram What is the meaning of your question about my age, ah? It is rude to talk to woman about her age. Everybody knows it. What force you to be so obviously rude? Let me guess. You are getting very non self -confident, listening to my channel. Is it because of my translations, because of my orchestrations or because of my singing per se? I can be propelled to fame, like , for example, Susan Boyle, in no time.
@okebaram Are you willing to give me such chance? She got it in the age of 47. I easily can use such chance now. And, yes, I was born with'many voices', which means I was born with the very broad range in my voice. People around use to call me ' Anna Sumak'. Anna is my name, and I assume -you know who Ima Sumak is.
That's called vocal acrobatics! But there are also some music in it. That's good! When I first watched her doing Mozart's Queen, I didn't like her interpretation, but here she's better, at least because it's just audio, not video. But OK!
mezzos can sound feminine and sexy too, just listen to a Rosina, Cinderella, or most other Rossini female leads. you also get to play fun villains like Klytemnestra and Azucena
PS: mezzos usually look better too (sopranos have a tendency to "puff up"). just look at joyce didonato, jennifer larmore or eula beal.
The first excerpt sounds like Mozart, but not really sure, though I've heard it before. The second excerpt is definitely Mozart, a concert aria: "Popoli di Tessaglia! ... Io non chiedo, eterni Dei K316/300b."
Beyond words. As a trained, professional singer with a considerable international career behind me, all I can say is: magnificent at the very least. I would love to know from what recording (what orchestra, conductor) is the Delibes, Lakme Bell Song aria? There are so many versions of them out there which she has done, but this one is one of her best.
Splendida! Intelligentissima e musicalissima.
I don't want to sound like an arse bu most temporary "so-called" coloratura sopranos do not manage to expose the agile coloratura in their voices. How sad !
I was just told that I am coloratura... so I started researching. At first I was really unsure about even being soprano, but I'd love to learn to sing like Natalie. She has such an amazing voice.
hey! thank you very much! im getting it right now. Sadly i dont know the name of the last aria, but im sending a message to the poster asking for the names of all the arias on the video, because there other arias that i still dont know.
Tell you this, go to avaxsphere dot come slash music slash classical and search for Natalie Dessay, they'll give you a heck of free download (I'm very sinful, lol)
Wait, I juts downloaded the second time and it;s still fine for me. You go there, enter a tag (Natalie Dessay for eg), then you'll see a list of results, choose the one that you want to download and click on the word "Detail" by the lower right corner. You'll be automatically directed to the page.
Dessay's voice is refreshingly light and innocent compared to the many more dramatic sounding operatic sopranos. Her voice is what I would imagine an elf maiden to sound like.
Gawd, I love this woman's voice!
