These XPS 700 series blew away any DIY build in terms of case quality and cooling innovation, Dell = quality for pre-built machines, but I think these older XPS's are better than their newer 9100, c'mon deal, bring back these older beauts??

ive had my dell xps 730 for i think just over two years and its had a dvd drive fail,a hard drive fail and as of today something has gone wrong the power supply test light its glowing green yet the power button still glows im not sure what the problem is and to be honest this is my first dell and will be my last dell ive never had a pc fail on my like this before this machine is a fail

Wrong. The Quadro FX5800 is for workstation graphics processing. Don't believe me? Check the benchmark charts and you'll see the FX5800 is nowhere to be found.

actually technicaally your wrong, the most demanding game is actually crysis, GTA4 does not support sli, dosent optimize quad core like crysis does and uses too much off your graphics card memory

Ok I have owned my 730 for close to a week now and I love it. It's a damn sexy piece of hardware I can tell you that. Its just so damn sweet. However I have noticed slowdowns in crysis and especially the crysis sequel. I havent configured any hardware settings though.

You should know this by now as its been 4 months since you posted. But a gaming computer can easily be hooked up to todays LCD tv's which display up to 1920x1080p or a lower resolution of 720p. As for pc monitors themselves, their a handful on the market now that use the exact aspect ratio as an LCD tv, and Dell has a few.

is this the H2C one?? nothing really new for me my 720 is still good Q6600 OC'ed 2x 8800GTX's in SLI (OC'ed) 680i SLI Chipset 2gig of 1066Mhz RAM 250gb HDD + 500gb HDD 2 DVD Drives still a really good system except no H2C cooling :( but still its got like 4 fans and it keeps the system real cool

This is ok....... Its not really all that. Even for the Price. It would have Been Editors Choice but pooor Bang For Buck. Its a ok system for gaming, theres no option for Nvidia 9 series Cards only 8 series and the rest are ATI. Other cheaper gaming Desktops can live up to the XPS 730. But still if your rich and u like to spend money on an ok system then go buy this one. I would Probaly not recommend this Gaming PC.

the XPS 730 H2c Cots so much. Its a great system to overclock to 3.8 GHz. It has a great ATI 3870 X2 in Crossfire. Dell Says it will soon launch the Nvidia 9800 GX2 But Trust me Switching to that card with this system will cost you a Fortune! But all in ALL THIS SYSTEM IS GREAT!It wont let you down.

Dell XPS 720 H2C looks better I think so... The 730 has cooling system awesome(maybe better than 720 H2C) but desing can be better.
