I thought the movie was AMAZING! The Joker is totally my favorite villain now! Heath did an amazing job pulling off this incredible character! He definitely deserves not only to be nominated but to win an Oscar for this! Yeah Jack did a great job, and they are kinda different Jokers, but personally Heath just perfected the part! I'm a huge Batman fan and LOVED this movie and cast so much! My only disappointment is that it wasn't long enough to fit more Joker, Batman and Harvey scenes.
OKAY!! i just saw the film! EPIC! i loved it! they put a really cool edge on the character. scary with his knifes-kinda reminded me of that whole robocop gun car chases and blade fighting clockwork orange type thing! it was fantastic :D

i havent seen this film yet-i saw the original. tim burtons one of my favorite directors and danny elfmans one of my favorite composers and jacks one of my favorite actors so its quite a winning combo there. id still be intrested in seeing this film though! sounds cool! by saying its more deep, do they mean darker and more gothic i wonder XD i love dark creepy and gothic! beautiful in film
I agree with that one guy, both Jokers were from different eras. Jack's was more traditional, and Heath's more modern. Both great and classic preformances by two amzing actors, but overall I gotta hand it Ledger. Ledger's was without a doubt in my mind the best on-screen villain ever. Jack gets a 99, and Heath 102. Good job with the interview by the way.
You know what is Amazing about this. Before The Dark Knight came out and they were talking about having Heath Ledger as the Joker, I was like "What?", but after seeing him in the Movie I was like "What!". By the way I Love Jack Nicholson, but Jack is like an A and Heath is like an A++ in another League of his own. My only problem with Jack now after looking back is he sounds too much like himself. i think heath captured the meaning of the joker...but jack played the joker...besides the make up heath really didn't have a signature joker stuff...in the opening scene they could have used that smoke to be the signature joker smoke...and they could have used the gun with the bang easily...i take nothing away from heath's performance...but actually acting as the joker i give it to jack because if u look the comics and the movie jack fufills the role...come on he killed a guy with a feather pen!

And i must admit i love the modernization of the makeup of "the joker" and the look of "two face". I thought it was better the fine line painting. I also like the history the TRIED to deliver with the scars of the joker. but again..mixed history. first his father then himself. all and all, i think heath did a wonderful job compaired to jack. + he delivered "the pencil line" with the sillyness of joker :-)

1- The too deep and raspy chain smoking voice that christian bale had was rather concerning for the character but bale still delivered his part of bruce wane well.
2- I also loved him the story of why harvy dent became two face was switched around. from having acid THROWN on him to having it burned from what happened with the joker. But two face made a rather short apperience.

Many of the critics who have said Ledger is Oscar worthy gave negative reviews to Brandon Lee when he died before The Crow and John Candy when he died before Wagons east. If the critics were only saying he is Oscar worthy because he died then why did they bash Lee and Candy ? Are they less dead than Ledger ? Also Ledger's Joker is based on the original 40's comics where Joker was dark and satanic, he didn't become a laugh all the time clown like Jack's Joker till the 80's comics.

I just came back from seeing the movie for the 2nd time and I have to say that Heath was SO much better than Jack. I was never nervous when Jack was on screen but when Heath was on the screen, I was captivated and wanted more more more. He was so disturbing as a character.

when i saw batman begins, i was blown away at the new approach to the series. Incredibly well made, well thought out and realistic. So, going to see THE DARK KNIGHT, i was concerned as to wether or not it would live up to the first movie. Once again, i am blown away. The movie is one brilliant scene after another. In this day and age, it is rare to go to a movie and be surprised, and this film did it for me. Brilliant.

Oh man I watched your vid on the tribute to Ledger...and I agree he will be greatly missed. I first saw him in the 10 things movie and then didn't really watch anything else by him until Knights tale.Then comes this and WOW it is so oscar worthy he is great and I can't see anyone else pulling off his performance.I will admit this now I don't show alot of emotion but when joker said to batman "you know we could do this forever" I got teary cause hes gone and will never get to show more talent.

The guy who explained that they're just two different Jokers said it best.
I still maintain that the transformation on Heath's part was more impressive and shocking than Jack, who had played similar crazy villains before.
