@joediesel187 I've had good luck with Hoppe's #9.  Then I use Hoppe's Lube after that. I'm sure there are other great combinations available, but I have had good luck with these.

It's about twice as expensive as the ones my friends shoot (metro arms, tarus, rock island, etc) but I don't want to get one and then later on wish I had spent a little more and gotten something better.

@kaakoo I have the same pistol. Fired maybe 4000 rounds, then I had to change the recoil spring when it started getting iffy. Since then no problems.

Like any 1911, it can be selective about magazines. The mags it comes with are junk.

@joediesel187 I love AR's. But I can make my dream AK, including optics, for the price of a quality AR without optics. Plus I have at least $3500 of other guns that I need to fit in, as well as a plate carrier/combat rig.

My goal with the AK is a really compact weapon that I can stow in a backpack while still having a hard-hitting and reliable rifle.
