Yes but sometimes, when other painkillers don't work, doctors can prescribe strong painkillers like methadone, specially in the 90's because now they've more choices, and specially for a guy who used to take opiates regularly, because he is used to the analgesic effect of most painkillers.

am i the only one that realizes 1. he talks about other people way more than he talks about himself(shows hes not full of himself) and 2. When hes talkin about his friend with the label he sounds like...idk like really young and happy compared to most interviews ive seen of kurt(in which hes usually pissed off or hes depressed OR hes just indifferent to whatevers going on)

his journals(which have been publicly released, in case you dont know) he states how depressed he really was. he was actually quite fine, dont get me wrong he was saddened and annoyed by a few things such as being famous, but he was altogether pretty okay until around 90 or 91 when tobi vail broke up with him, thats when he started doing heroine. and then he was okay when he met courtney, and then he got more depressed over time. but its still unlikely he killed himself though

I own the book that contains his journals, but i just meant he seemed to be happier when he met Courtney, but indeed they sort of fell out towards the end of his life, yes people can change moods easily as he had bipolar disorder, so do i, but i doubt he killed himself.

no. he was actually quite afraid of needles when he started to do heroine. he was also against it. what happend was tobi vail broke up with him and broke his heart and he got massive stomach pains from all his emotions and shit. and his friend just happend to ask him to do heroin and kurt knew heroin was an opiate and started taking it more and more as a painkiller.

yep. in fact the Rome suicide attempt/accidental overdose(depending on who you believe) was because kids in europe had started doin heroin because kurt was doing it and he didn't want to be known as a junkie, he wanted to be known as a musician.
