Kudos to the great Dave Clark Five, who have finally gotten some justice. Rick, Lenny, and Dave look fantastic. We fans have waited a long time to see witness this great event. Thanks for posting this video Artisan News Service. To Dennis, and Mike R.I.P.
I think Little Walter was truly an incredible musician. Somehow, every single time I listen to him play.... I can't help but feel him. It's like he's standing in the room. My friend wrote an amazing script about Little Walter which I read... what a life... I think they might make it his movie this year. Last I heard they were sending it over to Will Smith and Ludacris!!!!! Yeah! His story NEEDS to be told!
Of all the inductees, the most outstanding by far was The Dave Clark Five. I personally think that it is a shame that it took this long to get them into the Hall of Fame. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Animals, and The Dave Clark Five were at the forefront of the British Invasion. Mike Smith who died 2/28/08, was a great singer and a great human being. He spent the last 5 years in a London Hospital paralyzed due to a tragic accident. They made a real impact in music history.
And people in Japan didn't need to learn english to learn the Ventures songs.
:)
DC5 Best of choice! (thank you Dave for stressing that there was a fifth member who also could not attend - The great "multi-talented" (and handsome)Denis Payton (saxophone) RIP.
yes Dennis was handsome - he always looked great, even before he died he was a good looking chap and very talented. I know he was my uncle, thanks for the comments.
One of the first concerts I attended was the Dave Clark 5 back in 66, followed by the Beatles, a few months later. Leonard Cohen another favorite of mine since 69. The Ventures, keep on replaying their surf music.
My guitar teacher is Len Davidson- the Dave Clark 5's lead guitarist!!!

Shame on Dave Clark for not giving the true artist credit for music they wrote on the new Hits Relase.
Neither Universal Love or Every American Citizen were written by Dave Clark an yet he replaces his name with one of the true artist. How can this be?

Artisan could use a little more artisanship in their editing and camera work.
