I think the next film will be better, from what I've seen in the trailer. It's a lot like the show used to be, more comedic. The first movie had a few funny scenes, but Carrie was depressed for half the film and that was depressed me a bit.

The movie left me wanting as a viewer. The entire project was an obvious SJP vehicle. Which would have been fine except the rest of the cast was pushed so far back what was an ensemble cast left the other 3 ladies being a supporting cast. Even the adverts, movie poster dvd cover are all SJP. The mix that made the show a success was not present in this movie and it's easy to see why Kim held out for more, and wisely so. An OK movie could have been great had SJP not made this all about her.

They didn't pull of the seamless oneness they had in the series. The other actors were almost reduced to cameo roles. But the film still worked ok. Too much SJP though for sure but in a movie about her getting married, how do you not go there?

I LOOOVE that scene too!!! The Blue of the apartment walls and the costume on SJP, PLUS the idea of knowing that it's a Baby Shower just adds to the look and feel specificaly in that scene.

It's just goes to show how Costumes, Production Design and Story work together to enhance what the audiences watch and then feel what they see in a movie.

I just saw the movie, and no one dies. Big doesn't really leave Carrie at the alter. If you have seen the movie than you know what I am talking about. The movie was great though. I was satisfied with the ending, except the whole Samantha thing, kinda sad :)

I find it odd to need to "work on yourself" when your 50, and have had all your life to do that, and then you lose out on a wonderful life partner

but it is human nature to want & need love & companionship

She just wasn't used to being with him yet, she would have learned to appreciate him, and balance herself and her man

I am anxious to see this movie. It does spoil things for ppl to just blurt out what they heard might happen in the movie. As an audience we are supposed to be left wondering about some things. The series had a happy ending but I wouldn't be surprised if the movie doésn't. It's about time they be a little more realistic rather than always glamourizing life. I think the happy ending will be "life goes on" that's the ending of every episode.

Ohh God! the plot seems so similar to my real life situation I'm having right now. When we watched the series, she always said she was Carrie and I was Mr. Big. My girlfriend and I were getting married next month. I wanted a small wedding, she wanted something big, 200 guests (like the trailer says). Two months prior the wedding she got cold feet and left. She dyed her hair from blonde to black (just like it seems in the trailer Carrie does) and so much things similar that happened.
