She did a great job. One of the girls is doing this for her solo, and it's stuck in my head! She's a great belter... lucky. :)
The only thing I would say would be that if you're going to show any emotion or anything, I'd do it full out. Maybe... is she a musical theatre person or just a vocalist?
Haha... I went to myself... "Is she reading the lyrics off a sheet? How odd." And then I realized, no, Jamie's just a doucher and couldn't even do it in person. Sounds great though. For sure.
...did she mix the words up, or is this just a different version? Because I'm pretty sure the third and second verse were mixed up...the ones on either side of 'What about lies, Jamie?'. I sang this song for my exam, but mayhap my version was different. Anyone know?
You're absolutely right. Things got a little jumbled. As I'm sure you're well aware, Jason Robert Brown's music is very... wordy. Thankfully, Heather was able to keep it rolling, even with the lyrical slips.
Thanks for dropping by, and for REALLY listening! :)
I love this song so much. We did a musical theatre project in my College and a girl sung this, I was balling it! You don't need shout this, just feel it! You were a bit too loud!!
Heather, your voice has grown so much. You look and sound beautiful. I'm so proud of you and your accomplishments, I know you are going to be a star someday soon. Your biggest fan, Dr. Brown
this is amazing- great interp on this song, I love the bottom to your sound!

You can really tell that she and Colleen went to the same school after listening to this song on both of their voices.

They are, aren't they? In particular, I find 'I'm Not Afraid' a real tricksy beast for wording... but she did a marvellous job of covering it up.
Thank you for replying, and it was a pleasure to really listen to a fantastic voice!

After witnessing that amazing belting, this classical soprano is now officially ashamed that she even attempts this song. ;)
