@yasminsubba Hi, I used the Panasonic HDC-SX5 camcorder (1080i 50 AVCHD format at 13mbps), and I edited in Pinnacle Studio 12 (bit slow tbh :P) with colour grading done using Red Giant's Magic Bullet plug-in (free in Pinnacle 12 and 14, not sure about 15). Pinnacle is great for cutting, but really slow for effects, Magic Bullet works a lot better in other programs (Pinnacle restricts the way it processes so it is slow).
I would recommend Pinnacle 14 Ultimate (better than 12). Thank you btw :)
Thanks for the feedback, I really do appreciate it :) Yeah I definitely could do this film a lot better now, it was more a learning experience for me (Y) especially as all our other film ideas were shot down :P Oh btw these guys aren't actors, and with some quickly written dialogue, I thought they did quite well :P Anything bad to do with this project was my fault, and I have learnt from it (Y) :)
@zakfenning Aha I knew they weren't actors, but it wasn't horrible, I didn't mind. But all of these independent works are great learning experiences, and you have to start somewhere. Considering a lot of the other stuff I've seen out there, you should be very proud. Even at institutions like the Vancouver Film School, the shorts turn out with sketchy dialogue and minor errors, so regardless of any problems you had, it still turned out really well. Continue your work! This shows potential
One last thing! I have to just comment on how unrealistic the inter-title was. It would have been much better to have completely excluded the coroner part, or at least changed it from coroner to police. What coroner wouldn't be able to tell you that the men had died from gun shots? The police, on the other hand, may not have been able to determine how these men had been shot, but the coroner would know that the cause of death was by gun shot. Just some feedback! I hope you don't take this wrong!

It was too redundant. I mean we really didn't need to watch the same thing twice, especially not without the sound. Had you mixed it in a more unique way to the first play through (and I do acknowledge the subtle changes you made), and added more shots that hadn't been seen, it would have been much better. I mean most of the shots were nice, the dialogue wasn't overly bad, the acting was bearable, the effects and sound were good for the most part, but more variety was needed in the middle.
@zakfenning no worries, every project is a great learning experience, but I'm always glad to give some feedback. Good luck at Uni, I'm sure it'll be great! Cheers!
@nowaynohe I've never seen it :S no I was about to go to sleep and thought of the words in this and wrote them down, i thought of the inside shots because i'd been using the light on my phone to see in the dark :P, and the park because it's the best place to film around here. Gracias :D
You can tell that this was well planned out before hand. There were some really interesting camera techniques. i was kinda bored halfway through, but as far as technical stuff i likeeee =)

Regardlessly, this definitely ranks among the top 2 of the other IB Film finals that I have viewed, so congrats!

haha no problem. Did you get ur idea from rashomon? Your non-linear narrative definitely takes your video to the next level

yeah we did a lot of planning. Although when we were filming we worked out better ways to film it. Thanks for your comment :D
Look out for my next film, Evolve. It'll hopefully be up in... late July.
