It was Paul who said not God, that a women should not preach. It is not even written that Jesus himself was against a women preacher, nor did He utter out of His mouth and said or teach His disciples or followers that a women should not speak. Paul represent men and only said to keep peace in that hour because women sat with their husband and learned.

I would like to know what Tony Smith thinks about the second chapter of Joel, where it talks about the spirit of God being poured out on all flesh, and sons and daughters prophesying, and prophesying is another word for preaching in certain definitions. But, that doesn't mean that its a position or office in the five fold ministry.
The bible also talks about not judging people and condemning people to hell, so maybe there is some wrong interpretation everywhere. In the bible people weren't really big into titles, they were all acknowledges as servants men, women and children. People who believe that there shouldn't be women pastors and preachers, I beg to differ because many lives have been transformed and changed forever through women servants.

If he read where it says women shouldn't wear jewelry or make up in the church, that would mislead him if he sees it in the church. Remember the scripture about things being lawful but not being expedient, or shouldn't be put into effect even though it isn't criminal (in so many words)? Christians should not be divided into denominations. The bible says that if you are in a denomination, you are not walking for Jesus. As a matter of fact, the very word "denomination" is NOT listed one time in the entire bible

It was Paul who said not God, that a women should not preach. It is not even written that Jesus himself was against a women preacher, nor did He utter out of His mouth and said or teach His disciples or followers that a women should not speak. Paul represent men and only said to keep peace in that hour because women sat with their husband and learned.

I pray that this man of God continues in His fervency for leading the people of God by the Word of God. I'm a little nervous that it seems that he's a little too excited to condemn. A church is, after all, like a hospital for the spiritually unwell (that encompasses us all that have sinned I believe) with the Love of God (IJohn 4:8) as the all inclusive vaccine. While I am a woman preacher, I offer no opinion on the matter, just that I continue to pray Love be offered as correction (Ro 8:1).

If gender mattered to God, when he said the Son's of God, all the women would be left out, and only 2% of the bible would count for women, because it consistently speaks to "he", "him", "men". What I mean by that - Catholics, Orthodox, Protestants, Jewish, muslims, buddhists, coaches, teachers, doctors, lawyers, and more ALL have a percentage of MEN (and sometimes women) who will sexually or physically abuse youth and women. And psychologists (they are the worst of all btw, because that is the largest and most vulnerable people are in life).

Jesus spent MAJORITY 99% of his ministry, healing people, discussing how to gain heaven and to treat ALL people well. He talked of LOVE far more than hell. In fact in comparison hell is hardly mentioned compared to the good acts that Jesus performed.
Pick and choose the - angry/hating/hell parts of the bible and ignore the more loving parts.

Some versions have less mentions of hell - because HELL is mistranslated in the KJV. Sheol is NOT hell it is a dark place.
More than 10 (TEN) times heaven is mentioned in the bible.
We did not yet count the healing, love and miracles in the bible.

So perhaps you should read your bible and learn that LOVE (according to Jesus) is more prevalent than hell, so those who teach on LOVE are right.
1 John 4 - one chaper alone has more than 2 dozen mentions of love.
btw, I am a protestant.
I do get the last word and that is what people will learn by in this exchange. That LOVE is what Jesus is about, not mushy love, but a love that is about being good, not being selfish and caring for OTHERS!

Perhaps you misunderstand that Jesus was more about love, heaven, miracles, healings, and compassion.
He tried hard to help people understand how to avoid hell, but moreso HOW to gain heaven was through love.

Concerning Deborah, The fivefold ministry wasn't even birthed nor was the prophesy of Isaiah or Joel for that time. Joel said in the last days your sons and your DAUGHTERS shall prophesy! Prophesy means to PREACH which didn’t come into fruition until after Christ's resurrection! So correct, dispensationally women were typically not leaders THEN but NOW they have been released by JESUS to do the work of the ministry and I got bible on that!

I would like to know what Tony Smith thinks about the second chapter of Joel, where it talks about the spirit of God being poured out on all flesh, and sons and daughters prophesying, and prophesying is another word for preaching in certain definitions. But, that doesn't mean that its a position or office in the five fold ministry.

The bible also talks about not judging people and condemning people to hell, so maybe there is some wrong interpretation everywhere. In the bible people weren't really big into titles, they were all acknowledges as servants men, women and children. People who believe that there shouldn't be women pastors and preachers, I beg to differ because many lives have been transformed and changed forever through women servants.

@tayborn22 - The ultimate point is, how do we believe in things that aren't scripturally based? If a novice comes into the kingdom, and reads through the Bible, wouldn't that be confusing to him? If he read where it says women shouldn't wear jewelry or make up in the church, that would mislead him if he sees it in the church. I struggle with this everyday, because how can the spirit of God be contrary to the word of God? I don't condemn anyone to Hell, it just seems like error and confusion.

Remember the scripture about things being lawful but not being expedient, or shouldn't be put into effect even though it isn't criminal (in so many words)? I personally would go for a more strict interpretation or literal interpretation rather than dismiss scripture just to make it convenient and more appealing to a congregation. What are your thoughts?

@thecovenantkeeper after I read your last comment, fear gripped me. "Who art thou that judgest another man's servant?" Rom 14:4 God will not give a woman a gift & then tell her not to use it. There is nowhere in the Bib that says a woman "cannot preach". As a matter of fact, there were prophetesses in the old & new testam. That means that God - not you - gave them gifts to min "His word." You really have to be caref how you judge "His" servants. You are putting yourself in the place of God.

I am an Evangelist. I open air street preach. The Lord has stopped people from committed suicide, molesting children, raping, murder and so much more by using me as His mouthpiece to preach Salvation through Jesus Christ. covenant - Deb was judge/leader over the people of God during her time. You say that Mary Magdalene was not preaching but how do you know? I'm sure she wasn't talking in a calm voice. I'm sure she was excited when she delivered the "message" to men that Jesus gave her. Christ did not tell her to go tell women & children, but men. As far as that other vs - Paul spoke of her husband who is the naural leader in the home. Joyce Meyer only ministers as her husband allows her - as she's said in publ.

OMG!!! This man is leaving out all kinds of scriptures about Deborah in favor of his beliefs - now that's just wrong. If you're going to give me advice - give me the - whole word! The Bible specifically says she was a judge right there in Judges 4:4. She called Barak to do the heavy labor that she may not have wanted to do, but she was the one who received the word from the Lord to go forth into war. He's not even addressing the fact that women introduced the news of Jesus resurrection.

Wow, at least those women are preaching the word of God and seeing lives transformed for the "kingdom of God! " You seem to just be ranting and raving about your interpretation of a disputable matter in the bible. We may never know the answer, but why do you need to spend so much time preaching against women pastors, stop pointing the finger and start living and preaching a message that will change lives! Where does it say that only men can preach the word? You need to go some where and sit down. You don't know the Word of God. Jesus sent a woman to tell the brothers who were hiding out in the upper room. Go line upon line cause the devil is a liar. Anybody can read from a book unless they are illiterate. In all thy ways get an understanding. Stop name calling people. That is not God.
