  • guys...did anyone know how i can get cannons and other traps for my garden?

  • The trap layout is great until the barbarians have seen it 2 or 3 times, after which, you'll need to be releasing the bear more often, or fighting them off yourself.

My preference is to make a pretty garden with randomly-scattered dangerous and helpful traps, and to rearrange them every few times I get invaded. It's surprisingly effective when enemies remember where a health trap was, only to jump into the middle of a fire trap they didn't expect. Also, I work with my Yojimbo and my swordsmen.

  • @oblivi0ndoll The barbarians have seen the layout now dozens of times on multiple playthroughs and they still react the exact same way as shown on the video, no matter which difficulty I choose.

  • @NameThatNobodyTakes Odd. I've done similar garden layouts to that one and they always change tactics to avoid traps.

  • @oblivi0ndoll I know that in one Onji letter it says that invaders will change their tactics, but it somehow never happened to me and therefore I didn't care, just like the random letters you get that tell you nothing. This definitely gives the garden a bigger dimension than I thought it had.

Would be interesting to know what causes this, I think I need to experiment a little with my garden map next time.

  • @NameThatNobodyTakes I've been thinking about this (it takes a while, because I haven't played the game recently...) and I have a possible theory... Having some beneficial and some dangerous traps might make it harder for the enemies to learn which traps will help them and which will kill them. Also worth asking, what difficulty are you on? On easy, nobody ever realises that eating explosive sushi is stupid, any other difficulty and you'll only get more than one guard if they're starving.

  • @oblivi0ndoll I usually alternate between hard and very hard, but tend to play more on hard because fighting Gamuran in the end with the very hard setting is such a yawning endurance test.

My garden has only two beneficial traps located on the top of my tower, which only 1 out of 20 invaders seems to reach, non of them being barbarians. Maybe the curiosity what the traps on the tower do, leads the barbarians to walk into the deadly traps instead along the row of cannonball traps.

  • @NameThatNobodyTakes You, you use your words carefully actualy, instead of rageing you start sleeping xD

Anyways, i never actualy play a game in easy, neither in normal, but in very hard, because i like the challenge lol, you get used if you play from the begining to the end in hard, its more... easy thenfore.

  • @99042111 I share your thoughts on that matter. I don't see a lot of a reason to play a game if it doesn't challenge me on the first playthrough. Additionally I think the hardest difficulty setting actually forces you to learn a game's mechanics properly instead on easy difficulties where you can make the same mistakes repeatedly without really being punished for it.

  • hay my garden is so much better than your garden can stop all

  • @ahmad1994samara Can you show your garden or describe how it looks? Just curious to know what garden setups also work.

  • *wondering why there seems to be a row between the cannons and the standard wall* Shouldn't the enemies be wise enough to notice that? xD

  • wow!!o.O

  • how do you put the bear on my game he dont let i put him?

  • @lorenzo3486 u cant have too many bodyguards... i had Yojimbo and the bear.... :D

  • Haha, epic, good job

  • well nice garden guess i'll try to do the same with mine ! but one question is what i have ,,,, what are you going to do if they enemies got used to these traps and had no problem avoiding them ? and as well what are you gonna do if tabara clan attacked?

  • guard should be put in last line because they are idiots

  • wow i had almost the same garden XD GJ

  • So, will there be a new Shinobido for the XBOX 360?

  • @aietes this is PLAYSTATION exclusive...! O_o' try and get a system that actually WORKS..! for once...-.-'

  • @theisoganders lol Xbox360 works just fine. Try and post a comment where you're not trolling.

  • @aietes i didn't mean it doesnt "functiong"...-.-' but the shit breaks soon or later...O_o' :S YES..:! it is a gr8 system just like ps3 but that doens't change the fact that it keeps breaking....:s ps3 has the same issues, but those can be cured with the correct cooling devices! those on xbox doesn't seem to work properly...:\

  • @theisoganders Mine works fine, depends i guess.

  • nice garden! :D thx for the advice, i usually have to fight the enemies but thx for this video cus i dont even kill any enemies after i design my garden like ur! :D

  • so no1 ever gets to touch you? even all the ninjas?

  • Hey, nice garden! I ll give you an advice:

    You can make infinite pitfalls:

Place one and select press L1 for the "eye drop tool", when you press square for "erase" the pittfall pasted, it will desapear and the hole will stay there, instead of you make the ground "defaut".

  • @4njodamorte Thanks for telling me the trick which I published to the world over a year ago ^_^

  • that you do when the barbarians come from the sides, that is, out in front but the sides are (because they learn it happened to me, a perfect garden with archers impenetrable, in the end I stole a couple things and then remodel it a while back to get to my lair)

  • How do you manage to place yourself on top of the Shinto Gate? I can't do that.

  • @thiagocamus

    How He Do that???

  • @thiagocamus @christian20107

It's quite simple really. You just approach one of the pillars and jump onto them. When Goh/Kinu grab the wall for a short moment, jump again to reach the top of the gate.

  • wait......barbarians attack your house? i havent reached that yet -_-

  • super en español and english

  • great, you can just sit down and relax while the barbarian die, hehe

  • That a Nice Trap Garden..

But Mine Its Similiar To Sadame Castre..

    Trap Everywhere And Watch Towers.

  • wow dude... beats my garden 156 times º-º

  • nice garden lol.where do you get health and power pit?

    and how to get bear?

    5\5

  • The best garden that i've seen!hehe, but if you press L1 in pitfalls you can copy then as deadly holes, without the wood covering it! and if you put this in the ground of the house... the house will be innacesible for the barbarians xD

  • @6UndefinieD9

Thanks for telling me the trick that you have seen in the other video I posted :-)

  • Hey,I copied your garden but I made some changes a little bit,it's very effective, none got through accept some kenobi and mosu ninjas, they can pass through the cannons

  • where to find this game....anybody can tell me....??

  • u r actually rong, the guards are not ur last line of defence, ur ninjato is!

  • i've got a problem: i bought both the yojimbo and the bear cage, but when i realease the bear it kills the yojimbo, and the bear keeps only half its HP.

P.S.: Great garden! I promise to post mine soon, check out my channel!

  • I have to say amazing i applaud your unique artistic sense and style in design, and in placing of units, great work indeed!

  • I am impressed. Almost flawless design, your only missing the flying raptor Jesus in from of the house.

  • nice design on your garden, i prefure mine more but each with their own taste^^ with baricades and pitfals, a yojimbo and a bear, the barbariians arent able to get to the hut, but yah. Nice garden:3 dont let em steel your stash^^( confussion sphere 300+)

  • cool :)

  • wow~nice garden~XDDD

  • how does this work with the armored kabuto guys? make one more vid, this one's great.

  • They usually manage to jump on my 'tower'. They are however very confused because I stand on the Shinto gate. They jump down again, strictly into one of the traps.

  • as for me: i just sank my hut into the ground (like the one guy here on youtube) for the barbarians to fall into their death and simply have a tower one one end of the field surrounded with traps.

the rest of my garden is more like: feng shui meets a soccer stadium (some wooden stairs as tribunes, lakes - a real eyecatcher :D

  • oh - the one guy was you - hehehehe

  • I already thought "aren't you talking about my video?", hehe.

The garden portrayed here is my standard garden. I also would like use the sunk hovel more often, but it's such a pain to change it back to its regular setting. But it actually doesn't matter because 99% ot the time barbarians don't make it past the tower anyway...

Your garden does sound interesting - i like nice looking ones, for example the one by ShinAkuma200X, it's like a castle/fortress.

  • hahaha! Those stupid barbarians.

You are quite the artist, several barriers kill their chances from doing anything at all.

Always hated it when the barbarians stole things from the hovel, but most of the missions do not require items, oh well.

    Very good design! :)
