  • heyi am really honny today! Anybody is bored too and want to msg meh

  • i would consider it to be, at most, a slap on the butt from god, in a friendly manner; as if to say "good job." consider the extent of god's "wrath" towards the egyptians.

  • God struck Jerry Falwell dead because of his cruelty and ignorance. Floods and ice storms blanketed the Republican midwestern states, with severe flooding in Iowa and Nebraska. Child molesters and pedophiles like Howard Scott Heldreth, Mark Pazuhanich, Nicholas Morency, Mike Hintz, Peter Dibble, Donald "Buz" Lukens, Mark A. Grethen, Beverly Russell, Stephen White, Jon Matthews & Keith Westmoreland operate continuously within the Republican party.

Repent, Conservatives! The end is near 4 you!

  • Hang on. In essence, you're saying that God in fact supports gay rights through natural disasters only as a form of rhetoric by throwing their ridiculous logic back at them, right?

  • Sort of. I am saying that IF God is using natural disasters to send us a message, then that message is loudly and clearly targeted against the Opponents of Equality. So yes, it is a rhetorical trap, and I don't see any way out of it except to admit that there is nothing wrong with gay marriage.

  • @signab43 Are you joking? This doesn't line up with Biblical history at all, or God's NATURE for that matter...

  • lol if this is true, then god must be a racist everyone in africa is starving, when white ppl in europe and america have lots of food, o yea btw, if you watch the vids of hurricane katrina almsot everyone after the aftermath was what? BLACK! damn religious ppl

  • signab43, what I am saying is that the person whom posted this video is trying to make an argument for the justification of a lifestyle by pointing out some evangelicals misinterpretation of weather related disasters. It's an empty argument going in and it is empty coming out.

  • Yes, it is empty going in and coming out. These evangelicals are using God's name to preach hate, and trying to support it with evidence that just doesn't stand up to scrutiny.

There is nothing wrong with gay marriage, and if anything is to be learned from the weather, it is that God punishes intolerance - not love.

"I will condemn people who turn to mediums and psychics and chase after them as though they were prostitutes. I will exclude them from the people." Leviticus 20:6

  • It's starting to scare me really. I agree man, but I can't seem to get the message across to others that this Dobson crew is using scripture to promote a crypto-fascist agenda in this country. My grandmother calls Falwell and Robertson bigots, but she doesn't understand that Dobson is just one step behind them. Would you know any alternative ministers that I should suggest to her?

  • Trying to relate the misinterpretations of some pastors concerning aberations in our weather and the justification of a wicked lifestyle is akin to going to the store with an empty wagon and coming back home with the same

  • so you're saying that perhaps it's better to not buy anything than load up your wagon with things you don't need?

  • Brilliant.

  • You bet hehehhehee

  • At the end of the day, I dont believe people need religion in order to live a moral life. I see just as many immoral acts.....on a much larger scale in the name of religion.

  • The Golden Rule is "do to others as you would like done to you." That seems to transcend religion.

You wouldn't like it if your marriage was annulled, and I didn't like it when mine was annulled either. I don't know of any religion where treating people poorly is the key to heaven.

  • God exists in your mind. Its not tangible, its not observable. Everything you see and hear is subject to your interpretation and imagination. Tell me why so many people around the world interpret the word of God in such different ways. Why would an entity so intelligent take such interest in a species that cannot uniformly interpret its instruction in the same way. The Bible is the word of God? Why did mankind write it then?

  • Whether or not you believe in God, you deserve to be able to live your life as you choose.

Same-sex marriage does not disprove God, but removing the freedom to choose marriage does disprove freedom. There is no reason - godly or otherwise - that people in a free society should remove the freedom to choose marriage.

  • confusing... and not to mention the government won't give a shit what you have to say let alone address your concerns.

  • 'government' listens to people all the time. Do you think they just make up bans on gay marriage for the fun of it? The opponents of equality are very good at reaching and affecting Government, but fair-minded people can and do make a difference every day. Look at Massachusetts, Canada, Spain and South Africa. And ask your government for what you want.

  • What I mean is that the governments of this world will sooner destroy mankind before ever bringing peace or true freedom anywhere.

And things might be ok now, but the end is inevitable.

    Only a matter of time.

I don't have any interest in wasting my energy fighting for any particular cause. The only truth I see is; the only one to place faith in, Jesus Christ.

  • You're right. We were just talking about this yesterday. God so loved MAN that he sent his son to save us. We keep forgetting that part. We have an obligation to at least try to work towards peace on earth. To not do that is suicide - and God, I'm told, tends to frown on that.

  • James Dobson, of course, has NEVER indicated that 'natural disasters are caused by God's anger at our tolerance of homosexuals' nor is he a 'leader of the Republican Party's theological community.' Robertson has made some statements in the past with regards to weather and theology - and Falwell, of course, is deceased.

It's sad (but predictable) these days that people want to demonize evangelical leaders for just about everything...

  • Sorry, johnlorican, I have no patience for people like you who try to defend the indefensible behavior of Dobson and his ilk. These evangelicals are linked not only by their quest to remove freedoms based on superstition and fabrication, but also by their greed and hubris. They are the modern snake-oil salesmen, and they deserve nothing better than tar, feathers, and a one-way trip out of town.

  • Does it say anywhere in the Bible that God's wrath causes all natural disasters or does nature just work itself sometimes?

  • The bible says a lot of stuff. The observed weather patterns seem to indicate either God doesn't use hurricanes to punish people, or he hates the Evangelicals. Building public policy - and taking away freedoms - based on an obviously erroneous interpretation of the bible is pretty mean. And the bible does say that God hates mean people.

  • I believe in the Bible 100% as the word of God, but I don't believe in any man, priest, pope, presient, king, Dictator, or government.

Jesus is the only light in this world.

  • The Word of God is written down, but sometimes confusing. God has to keep teaching us how to read it. If He uses natural disasters to do that - or people like James Dobson - then we better listen. But one thing is certain - He hasn't finished writing that book yet.

  • I was under the impression that the scriputes are fulfilled and closed.

As far as interpretation goes... I think God wants us to read the book and ask him for wisdom, as opposed to just accepting what our preacher tells us.

I'm glad you believe in God and Christ because most people that reply to my comments on youtube are faithless.

Once again - the key to life is Jesus Christ.

    The gospels say it all.

They are the heart of the Bible.

  • Thank you for the complement. There are plenty of people of faith in the most surprising places - and vice versa. Jesus taught us not to judge and I wish more YouTubers would remember that we're all on God's mission here.

The scriptures *are* fulfilled and closed, but since King James is just an imperfect man, God is always active in our struggle to understand His word. It's the message - not the medium.

  • I couldn't agree more.

Can you imagine if everyone tried to live the lifestyle that Jesus did?

There would be NO WAR anywhere on this Earth.

But once again, that will never happen as long as man has free will to endulge in his wicked ways.

  • That sounds like a vision worth fighting for :-)

  • So true. God hates the Evangelicals.

  • lol
