@2323dawson erm rollerblade isn't a type of skate it's a brand >_> . inline= wheels are in a line. as opposed to rollerskates. aggressive skates are the ones that normaly dont have brakes. funny enough Rollerblade has a line of aggressive skates

Many advanced skaters wear brakes because they must teach lessons on how to use brakes. In many cases it's just a matter of preference. For instance, brakes save on wheel wear - another reason people leave the brake on. However removing the brake is for many a blessing in disguise. You can cross over without clipping your brake & learning to stop without a heal brake does eventually make you a better skater. There are pros &cons to each decision. Only an immature teen would slam heel brakes.

quit ya jibber jabba fool, not everyone has to go around sliding to a stop, you try coming down a hill to a busy intersection and do ANY slide stop and tell me if you'll stop intime before hitting the cars. heel brakes are THE most effective stopping methon on skates and anyone can/should use em (whether they been skating for 3 months or 30 years)

Yeah, I'm so used to not using them that they're almost obsolete for me. Not to mention since I'm and aggressive inliner the brake would just catch on ramps. I can do slide variations, T-stop, plow stop, and that spinning stop thing. Idk the name.
