Portion sizes of food have become way to big these days, and kids aren't playing actively like they used to. Ironically westernized countries are much more unhealthy these days. my dad tells me about growing up in the 50s all the time..burgers for 5 cents.shakes for a dime.5 bucks gets you a weeks worth of groceries,gas was 17 cents a gallon....makes me want to go back and see it all.

When I first saw this movie it brough back memories of when I was 7 years old and me, a neighbor boy and his grandfather were on the beach in Hawaii fishing. Us kids were standing in the water casting our lines and the grandfather was messing with tackle box. I looked back and he was laying on he ground. We ran to him to try to wake him up. I ran and got my parents and they came out to try and wake him up and they couldn't. He was dead. My dad called the police. This was back in 1969.

I just saw this movie for the first time last Friday. And it really melted my heart. no kidding. I loved it so much that it made me think about life and memories. And about how I should appreciate my friends.

And it sucks that River Phoenix had to die too.

I just saw this movie on CMT lol. It really is a good movie with a great story line. It's so true how friends can come and go so quickly. It had a pretty good ending too, it made you think about keeping in touch with old friends.
