  • super

  • Oh to be 15 yrs old again in 1966. I remember this song so well.

  • What a terrific song! Paul McCartney wrote the most beautiful love ballad's hand's down.

  • this fool is straight up playing an electric guitar that isn't even plugged in...

  • RIP Gordon, thanks for the memories

  • The best love song Peter and Gordon ever had!

  • At first I thought it was John Lennon. I would like to hear Paul himself sing this.

  • Was this part of American Bandstand?

  • love the song, hate the lip sync video

  • damn, I came where when I read that it was writed by Paul Mccartney, and damn it is a really good song, it's obviously from him

  • he tried to look like john lennon

  • Sheer quality!

  • I liked Peter & Gordon, they did some very good songs and their cover of Buddy Hollys "True Love Ways" was excellent, Peter is Jane Ashers brother.

  • They look like they are 15 here i know they are 19 or 20 here

they are the same age as my Dad so yeah Pete is 66 this year Gordon is Resting Peacefully and Sadly Missed

  • 当時、親に「視力が落ちた」とウソ言って黒縁眼鏡を買ってもらいました。

  • woman!

  • Can Gordon play any instruments? He's not looking too flash with that bass

  • I love the bridge....."I've got the advantage of time....I've got the...."

  • Despite his amazing success as a songwriter in the early 60s, Paul McCartney wanted to test the theory that it was the Lennon-McCartney name that made hit songs. He wrote a song “Woman” for Peter & Gordon using the pseudonym “Bernard Webb.”

  • @ImagineRevolution64 Interesting! But it didn't hurt the song's chances to have Peter & Gordon sing it! They were perfect for it .

  • the ending is breathtaking!

  • Long live Bernard Webb!!!

  • @Sodahpop96 Aka Mccartney

  • Wow what a clear video, nice, thanks for posting the song.

  • Songs like these make me wish I was born during this time period!

  • Singing live and sounding fantastic. This is one of the great ballads of the 1960s. Truly beautiful.

  • Damn, Gordon Waller was a hottie.

  • thank you for this very good video...these guys were among the best in the world

  • wow sounds exactly like the record! heheh :P

  • Peter was in several episodes of the old Robin Hood tv shows

  • If you remeber the old Robin Hood tv show...Peter was in alot of those episodes as a child

  • Gordon was really Austin Powers.

  • yes Gords guitar is not plugged in.............lip synch was ok for TV performances in those days....we all knew it..at least I did anyways.

  • This has to be one of the most romantic songs ever written.

  • this reminds me alot of john lennos song woman

  • @pinkyellowblackred

Or maybe John remembered this song when he wrote his Woman...

knowing Paul has written this one.

  • Just curious... what is "HR"?

  • Such cheesy, obvious lip-synching. Peter Asher is a mile from the mike and neither guitar is plugged in. Still, a good song and a nice clip.

  • @searcherboy That's the reason the musicians union eventually made a rule against miming in the UK. Of course, The Beatles and others broke the rule ALL THE TIME by playing along with pre-recorded tracks. Unbeliveably, the famous Beatles performances of Revolution and Hey Jude on the David Frost show were only partially live, as was the "Our World" broadcast of All You Need Is Love. They all did it.

  • such great harmonies

  • Absolutely perfect Gordon Waller performance. Maybe the most beautiful of all British invasion songs. RIP Gordon

  • Adore these McCartney lyrics!

  • this is one of the best McCartney songs he ever compuse to give away with another name on credits!! This is the best version of the song i ever seen.

  • Thank you so much for posting this!!!!!!!

  • can not get this out of my head! LOVE IT :)

  • Great relatively unknown song from the Lennon/McCartney catalog! Maybe Peter Asher should have taken the price tag off his Gibson J-160E guitar. Or maybe it says: "Property of John Lennon, please return after use on German TV."

  • Fantastic song, 66 Great time.

  • so sad to hear gordon had died one of my favorite british groups from the 1960's thank you , rip

  • Peter and Gordon are wonderful.

RIP Gordon Waller - he is and will be missed.

  • Peter & Gordon forever!

  • I had a huge crush on Gordon back then. I'm so sad to know he was suddenly taken from us... RIP sweet troubadour.

  • RIP Gordon Waller. And thank you. Thank you so much for the body of work you left us. ...What beautiful songs, sounds, melodies, harmonies, and orchestration.

...That heaven place is assembling some kind of band up there ya know. :)

  • I love this song! It reminds me of my first boyfriend, long ago. This is the best version of this song on YouTube. Thanks for sharing.

  • @lbfield reminds me of my first crush. My older sisters best friend. I don't know if she had any idea. I just wish I had told her. She died in a car crash a few years out of high school. So if any are looking for some advise, tell the ones you love that you love them.

  • @lbfield Ist ja auch Deutsch
