actually looks more like a flat out port of the DS version instead of a remake. sam models, maps, sound, texture filtering is a nice addition though that the DS lacked. i hope they port over ff4 from DS as well, i'd def. play that one.

This may be a stupid question but I am thinking of getting this game but I was wondering is the story linked to the other 2? Like is this this game a separate story or does it sort of continue of the other games?(Sorry for being a FF noob)

@XReneGadEr No it is not. Each Final Fantasy has a brand new world and story (except Final Fantasy X-2 and the future Final Fantasy XIII-2)

How do you save your game. I can do a quick save but then when I die I have to start a new game. So does anyone know how to save your game so you don't have to keep making new games.

@Ass2mouth18 thats part of the game and its one of things that distinguishes final fantasy rpgs from others, you CANNOT save just anywhere. You can only save when 1) you are on the world map or 2) on a save spot

the game cannot be saved when in a town or inside of a dungeon, you have to beat the whole dungeon or find a save spot to be able to save. you can quick save, but as soon as you do, you will be taken to the title screen

and just so you know, there aren't any save spots in the first dun

Urgh, so this is DS port. I always liked NES version better, so why they didnt make this like they did with FF1 and 2 iPhone versions. Another thing I want is that they add save crystals to final place. It was so annoying playing hours and then you die and you get nothing.

@Dannst3r Hey I agree with you. I know its a challenge to fight 6 bosses without saving, but damn you can't even lvl up since your at a weak lvl when you arrive to any new place. If I remember correctly the first boss was that fat fire genie...and if you didn't lvl up a great amount before going into that cave you would never kill him on your first time. I never played the nes version; wished they had a nes mode after you beat the game on the ds just like Metroid zero mission did. oh well.
