what about the candy apple red? there is a shimirin kandy base coat and a kosmic kolor urethane enamel kandy.

@gabrielvillanueva520 This red is the KBC11 Apple Red. If you'd like to compare with the look of the urethane enamel, check out the '68 Mustang in our website photo gallery of the UK11 sprayed over Orion Silver.

@NorthTexasCustoms I really dont see much difference comparing the photos on your site. Is there a difference in brightness or what between the Chevelle and the Mustang?

@isaac7600 the Chevelle was much darker as the base was gold and there were more layers of candy applied. The Mustang is brighter and deeper and more of a true candy. Pictures are hard to convey the brilliance.

Each car's cost will vary as there are many variables to consider such as how many dents or waves are present, rust spots or welding needed, single- two- or three-stage paint, color, and how straight you want the finish to be. did you use the kbc range or uk range of house of kolor i have been told kbc are easier to apply do they look as good as uks

@MORTALXTREME Thanks, yes the base coat under the red is Solar Gold. If you check out our video channel, we have 4 videos leading up to this one where we show and explain the process. Basically we take bodywork up to a PPG K36 primer, then base coat with House of Kolor Solar Gold, topped by House of Kolor Candy Apple Red, and finished out with PPG high solid clear.
