I hope you do realize that "HE" grenade is just a commonality used to describe any fragmentation grenade. HE stands for high explosive. The "HE" grenades you are referring to are only found in Counter Strike. They are made up. The only grenades that take the shape of the one in the video are smoke and chemical grenades, which Garret definitely did not throw...
