  • hendrix played other strat in woodstock, the guitar were white.

  • the first guitar tha appeared is not a fender broadcaster, there is a simple telecaster, broadcaster have only one pickup

  • A beatles guitar has no worth for me.

  • my favorite has to be dave mustanes "angel of death" dean that dave himself gave to a friend of mine that plays in a band out of ocean city, cali called the birds of prey. its not one of the "signature series", though they are outrageously nice, its the actual one that dave used. he gave it to this kid because he was so honored and flattered that these kids looked up to megadeth as a musical inspiration. doesnt hurt that he knows their dads either...lol...anyway, check em out @ birdsofprey123

  • @out4gd1 Mustaine? I'll offer $99 bucks! LMAO! Mustaine.... GTFO

  • ''epic eruption solo on background''

  • i think they are expensive

  • All these beutiful guitars are now in the hands of rich hacks that cant play to save there shitty lives-sad.

  • where was Peter Green's aka Gary Moore aka "Greeny"?

  • @11harrison11 right, i like how most of the guitars are from clapton, who is by the way overrated. slow hand, more like boring hand

  • where was Peter Green's aka Gary Moore aka "Greeny"?

  • Can we have less ass in the background next time, cool.

  • he 1959 les pauls aren't on this list? Don't they cost around 750 thousand dollars by now?

  • @MegaDarth666 300k is about the average price of a '59 lessie

  • I had to turn the volume off. I like Van Halen... for little bits. Anyway, there should be a bunch of classical and flamenco guitars with higher values (more than 500000).

  • @ClyderSkyner exactly.

  • Listen to the shit noodling that goes along with the photos.

  • the mary ford les paul featured on pawn stars sold for 110 k on Ebay

  • For #2, why does it say "the guitar Hendrix played at Woodstock"??? He played a white strat at Woodstock.

  • bastard

  • @NonCommunityChannel None of the 1959 Les Pauls were "handmade' by the man himself. Read a book

  • you are a fucking idiot. every Les Paul has Les Paul's signature on the headstock how are they all not made by him?? What are you arguing? And Yes I am aware of his passing

  • what about the original 1959 hand made les pauls by les paul himself

  • Comment removed

  • @deth800lg what do you mean "les pauls by les paul". every les paul is made by les paul ya douche

  • @bringback10klf "Every Les Paul is made by Les Paul?" xD

    1) No they're not. Many are just production models. The ones that aren't production models are made by some one else (not Les Paul).

    And

    2) Les Paul is DEAD. Learn your facts. You douche.

  • @bringback10klf Les Paul never handmake any of Gibson's production models...

  • @36hunters not sure what you're trying to say buddy. write me something that makes sense

  • @mayonard7 I'm not sure I know how to respond to such blind stupidity. If something SELLS the then value of it becomes concrete as it SOLD FOR THAT PRICE. If more that one sells you then have a range of VALUE for that object. You're a fucking imbecile , hence your list of shit guitars, go back and do some homework kid

  • "Washburn Guitar's CEO since 1975, Rudy Schlacher, will be making his statements in our future launch because he also knows details of the origins of Bob's guitar. We've been told by Rudy so far "that this was one of the first electric guitars Washburn ever made". Rudy actually wanted to purchase this guitar from Gary but Gary declined and Rudy has been supportive ever since." from Squidoo.com

  • yes.... and it's called google search.... :O) enjoy !

  • bunch of jack-a-loons

  • ok one last thing, there is a difference between "sun-burst" and "tobacco-burst" finishes. mainly, gee, let's think..... Ohhh the color !! DARGHHH !!! wow i hate how everybody plays guitar now

  • your all trying to sound like experts, clearly the jack-a-loon that mad the vid simply used pics of re-issues as well. gee that took 0.5 seconds to figure out.

  • well I'm not gonna buy those, I'd rather play my crappy guitars!

  • the guitar that jumy hendrix played i thinl he burned it to,it looks like that :P

  • i own them all....

  • Crap list ! Lot o errors

  • Where's Brownie?

  • what about pearly gates??? WTF where are the LP's??

  • I might suggest that if a certain 69 sunburst strat painted black with a black pickguard, maple neck and a neck-bridge toggle switch ever hit the open market it would smash the holy beegeezus out of this list.

I would sell my soul to the devil and lop off a leg just to jam on it once, and im probably not alone.

  • What about the 1959 Les paul that Peter Green and Gary Moore owned? worth 2 mil..

  • what's the music in the background?

  • @stupidfriends4 Eruption by van halen

  • where is the gibson les paul standard 1959 sunburst? it's 700.000

  • clapton guitars are prieceless

  • funny no les pauls

  • The white strat that Hendrix actually played at Woodstock, not the one shown here. was bought by a Japanese collector, and is estimated at around 8 million Dollars if it was auctioned today.

  • Hendrix played a cream colored strat at Woodstock

  • well we're forgetting Bob Marleys washburn , he owned 5 guitars in his life but it sold for or is worth 3.3 million american , he guy who has it got it as a gift from Bob and as far as I know doesn't have any plans on selling but than again I kept up to date as much with this as I did with .. insert mean joke.

anyone actually like the new van halen record?

  • May 8, 2002, two of Jerry Garcia's guitars were auctioned. Tiger was purchased for $957,500, while Wolf was bought for $789,500

  • @SandhillGuitar Thank you for your accurate information unlike the unaccurate video that i just watched what a waste of time it is if it is not accurate BAAAD INFO TIKU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I seriously doubt this info...fact EV guitar was estimated at one mil dlls...as jeff beck's tele and others...

  • I fucking HATE video's like this. Promise SO MUCH...yet delivers so little.

YouTube has become a charter for every wannabe kid to make a shit video in the vain hope that he will get "spotted" and given a job in TV.

  • Sad part is, my 350$ les Paul prob. Sounds better then all of them :P

  • @15Koontz Probably not. I doubt all those big players would use these guitar just because their old.

  • @joakim456 Any real guitar collector will quickly assure you that as guitars age the wood ages and electronics oxidize giving each guitar its own voice. which players prefer and collectors pay $ for

  • as a guitar player i think this is the most stupid thing on earth

  • Hendrix played a WHITE stratocaster at Woodstock, not the one pictured here.

  • @MrLizardisle Well most of these guitars pictured here are not the actual items. Too bad because pics ARE available.

  • Cool list but there is some missing. Dweezil Zappa has a stratocaster that Jimi Hendrix burned. He was going to sell it on ebay if the price reached 1mil and it only reached like $850,000. But the Stratocaster Jimi used at Woodstock was white with a maple fretboard.

  • @chadwr85 Much more is missing actually. Like the original and unique-shape custom-made guitar of unknown origin (currently owned by ''magic'' Alex Madras) used by John Lennon in the Sgt Pepper's album. And D. Gilmour owns the first Telecaster ever made ! He is pictured with it on the sleeve of his second solo record and plays it on McCartney's ''Cavern'' dvd. It'all messed up, paint half gone, even the wood looks badly damaged! Fancy 'though what a rich collector would pay for that relic !

  • @chadwr85

The one dweezil has is the strat Jimi burned at Atlanta Pop festival and his father used... its not the woodstock axe.

  • @realitywakeupslap I know, I didn't say it was. I was naming both of those guitars saying the woodstock one was white, and the Dweezil one was worth 800k

  • I've had a LP custom, I still own a 50th Ann. Strat. I've had sort's of guitars. I still always come back to my $700 Jackson dinky. It's like coming home every time I pick it up.

  • @redc338able WTF ?!? dont you get sick of the high e slipping off the dinks' neck even when not trying to bend the string. Play an esp or ltd dlx and you will never go back. esp.com

  • what I love is, this vid supposedly show's the world's most expensive guitar's but, The song he picked to go with this is probably being played on the original Frankenstein guitar that Eddie made from parts and throw away junk!!

  • #2 is wrong man...he played a white strat not sunburst...wow

  • what about the 59 les paul?

  • Das ist nicht zwie Heinenglobben, das ist Dungencschpiel, Dunkah

  • sorry but jimi played a white strat with a maple neck at woodstock

  • ERUPTION BABY

  • But an SG would be nice!

  • I only have or need 3 guitars 1 Gibson, 1 Epiphone, and 1 Sears Silvertone Archtop.

  • I don't like collecting. There are a lot of nice guitars that are way out of the normal person's price range, simple due to the collecting bug and, worse, speculation!

I don't want to criticize some people's passion but as a guitar player, I don't like the result.

  • The first guitar shown isn't a Broadcaster, it appears to be a 1970's Telecaster. As well as some of the other instruments shown are not the ones listed.

  • Haha buy me a master grade soild one piece sunken Brazilian rose wood Gibson les Paul body shape with a fast sexy neck styled after Jackson with a like dip instead of the dove joint with 24 frets and 42mm nut and the open book headstock with a abalone horse instead of the "les Paul model". All this in v12 finish in silver burst three tone color, and a 17 degree angle for the head stock. Mmmh what would that run 120,000? Worth it and it will play almost and good as it looks.

  • Wasn't the Hendrix Strat from Woodstock olympic white?

  • @rjake61 Yeah thats what I thought!

  • @rjake61 finally, yes thank you ! it was. Fender's white, whether it be alpine, olympic, or cream/eggshell always fade to ivory/yellowish white over time, especially kept under fluorescent light

  • How much would be valuated the supposed No 001 fender stratocaster that owns David Gilmour?

  • Tony Iommi signature SG $400-500 and it sounds just as good as any of these. Why does anyone care what guitar Clapton played? Clapton sounds good on every guitar he has because he is good at playing!

  • Where the hell did you pull this list from? You don't have one 59 Les Paul which is worth about 750 k each??

  • @bnsaints Yeah my ass, thats my favorite Les Paul but its not 750k lmfao ... Get a brain.

  • @IndigoGamingl337 Hey jack ass get a computer. An original 1959 Les Paul recently sold at auction for $600,000 plus dollars. You need to get an education you imbecile.

  • @bnsaints LMFAO TAKING THIS SERIOUS?? Get a life you waste of sperm.

  • @IndigoGamingl337 You're an ignoramus. A 5 second google search shows several 1959 Originals that sold for north of 250K and one that sold for 600 plus. Don't ope your fucking yap if you don't know what you're talking about girly.

  • Comment removed

  • @IndigoGamingl337 good job dis-proving yourself

  • Garcia's Tiger (Doug Irwin Custom) $975,500, Wolf (Also an Irwin) $789,500

  • Wrong Strat on the Hendrix Woodstock. It's clearly a white Strat on the film and I've seen it at the Seattle EMP.

  • you forgot slash's appetite les paul or mark knopfler's pensa suhr

  • tiger should be on there

  • @hansfrank13 yep any of Js giutars what about the big Bad wolf

  • A lot of generic photos here, such as the Gibson SG. Harrison's SG did not have a stop tailpiece.

  • how was a 59 les paul not in this video?!?!? what a fucking waste

  • If Eric Clapton touched my guitar, the price would go up by $500,000

  • If I'm not mistaken the guitar Hendrix played at Woodstock was a white or cream colored strat.... I mean just watch the Video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ponyboy3210 Also, Hendrix was a lefty, the guitar is right

  • @U2Party

    hendrix played right hand models

  • what is this beautiful music i hear in the background!!! I NEEDD ITT!!! Please someone tell me where i can download it hahaha

  • @6SFX some random live version of Eruption by Van Halen.

  • Where's Blind Owl Wilson's gold Les?!

  • Jimi played a white strat with a tele neck at woodstock. that strat in the picture is incorrect.

  • @realitywakeupslap It was a 1968 CBS Cream color strat, that including the original neck, (the CBS head stock is a sure give away).

  • @guitarran

Yes I have double checked and I stand corrected, the white strat with the tele neck I remembered was at a different show possibly Atlanta. Just google "hendrix tele neck" and you will see it .. when Jimi wore a blue print top in the pics...

  • @realitywakeupslap It didn't have a Tele neck. The headstock on a tele is completely different.

  • @realitywakeupslap And Hendrix was a lefty while this guitar is right

  • Load of Hogwash......Where is Rory Gallagher's Strat?

  • This is a really crap , under researched load of bull . They are NOT photos of the ACTUAL guitars your`e describing . just similar models from years later . Thoroughly bad job !

  • wheres NO.1?????

  • @treetrunkss940 Simple, can't be included because Jimmie Vaghuan will never sell it. (Despite multiple multi-million dollor offers.) Which makes me happy, no one deserves it more than family. And as is with David Gilmours 1954 serial number "0001" Strat. (first strat, excluding prototypes of course). He said he'd never sell it either. Those guitars are above this list, they're priceless!!!!!!

  • I only watched this to the end so I could listen to Eruption.

  • I like my hwy series strat the best. Cost me $600 and it plays like a motherfucker!!

  • know your guitars? check out... NAMELESS GUITAR. or click on my name

  • SRV No. 1...???

  • lol, the most expensive guitar in the world is signed by Liam Gallagher.

  • Clarence Whites " B-bender" Telecaster currently owned by Marty Stuart and still played everyday was estimated to be worth over a million 10 years ago... and Billy Gibbons 59' 'Pearly Gates" Les Paul is worth over a million since he turned that offer down ..

and Jerry Garcia's guitars are not mentioned here either.. No telling what a rich deadhead might pay for a Garcia guitar if auctioned..

  • Comment removed

  • Without the celebrity ownership these are mostly just used guitars. What a rip off. I was hoping for something like Advanced Jumbo Gibson, Super L-5 (first or earliest Super 400, Broadcaster (maybe) but more like early Paul Bigsby stuff. Drop the guitar player idol worshit and show some master piece guitars not just stuff used by some famous rock star. A 1960s Strat is a 60s strat. Just because someone promoted these "artists" does not make their guitars that special. IMHO Collectors are idiots.

  • I'd only pony up that money for a guitar that I'd actually play... not something that'd get hung up in some dickhead's museum.

  • Why post this then use stock footage instead of the actual guitars as well as pics of guitars that arent what is described? Annoying.

  • This is cool, but I'd rather see the 10 most expensive guitars based on the quality of the guitar, not who used to own them or play them.

  • I love my guitar......... Why throw away millions for someone else's guitar????

  • the broadcaster was only one pickup

  • Bob Marley never played a Washburn guitar. He played his Gibson Les Paul Special and earlier on a Stratocaster.

  • @Tjoppy never ever ever huh ? well he had it made for him but i guess you and Bob were pretty tight huh ? wow.....

  • @mayonard7 have you ever seen a video or a picture of Bob Marley with a Washburn guitar?

  • This WOULD have been REALLY cool had you actually come up w/ pix of the actual guitars. Those areactually available, but would take a bit of time to round up . NOT ONE(1) of the guitars in this vid shows the actual guitar that is being reported on. they are all stock photos of similar modle guitars or reproductions made by the parent guitar company. Cheesy!

  • @geod1234567890 i was more concerned with the facts presented in the video, but i suppose for those who can't read, pictures would've been nice too :)

  • That is not the WHITE STRAT Hendrix used at Woodstock... not reliable video... sorry... and what about the guitar burned at Monterey? that one is a true legend! Dweezil Zappa has that one and should cost a fortune... and what about some guitar from Jimmi Page or one of the Beatles? where did you get this info? I don´t ithink is accurate most of it...

  • most of them are owned by mr clapton

  • lol at the description People around the world love to play guitar and listen the the rhythm of the famous guitar player. obviously jap x) no offense meant (;

  • What is the conclusion?

Is the quality of the guitar that makes its price, or who used it??

A Stratocaster, a Telecaster guitars are only madeindustrial standard with threaded neck, their current Chinese copies are identical ...

How much is a genuine Stradivarius compared to the stratum of Jimy Hendrix presented in this video?

For perspective, go visit a real luthier to work in his studio ... the time required for his work and the final price.

  • A 1959 Gibson Les Paul Sunburst in general is $750,000.... That's without it being a celeb's guitar...

  • celebrity guitars....like buying a used celebrity vehicle...it's only worth money to those that want bragging rights....otherwise...buying any fender strat that works for you, or if you're really lucky, a gibson les paul....but serious....this is all fluff stuff....nice, but belong in a museum like Marley's.........not hate'n or jealous....even if they were in museums, I'm not going to look at someone's guitar....painting, yes, only way to experience it.....instrument? no

  • damn jamaicans

  • @chubbymosher700 yeah...give me any one of those (preferably eric claptons es335) and ill play it day and night

  • what about the 1918 Martin John Frusciante played during "Venice Queen" at Slane Castle?

  • Where is the Gary Moore Peter Green Les Paul!?

It was sold over a million!

  • who ever made this vid sucks fenders little cock all day long.

Fuck you and fuck fender you fag.

  • RIP headphone users

  • Clapton guitar, 939,000.00 Hendrix guitar 1,200,000.00 SRV guitar 1,000,000.00 my guitar...............Priceless

  • The sad thing is, the majority of these are now probably on a wall somewhere, going unused.

  • They look pretty normal, nothing special...

  • I couldn't get through this without turning the sound off. I dunno who's playing but none of the artists who owned these guitars ever needed to jack off so many notes.

  • @40DollarFine Van Halen - Eruption (Live)

  • Jimi Hendrix's 1969 Strat From Woodstock was white with a maple neck.

  • id take a prs dragon over any of those

  • o.O And I thought the $100,000 limited edition Martin was expensive. Where's the millionth Martin though? It's value is a million bucks or more!

  • This list sucks. I think Strats sound good, but they are so ugly. Plus, this was basically Clapton's collection.

  • @zoltar5282 How are strats ugly? And, how does this list suck? Did you even READ the title? MOST EXPENSIVE GUITARS, not "10 best" or something. They're nowhere near being the 10 best. A PRS 305 blasts a tele or Washburn off the planet!

  • @Songwriter4God sorry nothing beats a TELE, especially a new PRS edition..Teles are work-horses..It is a fact you can get a tele to sound like other axes, but a PRS cannot do the same. ( teles are mockingbirds).I prefer tele's and you like PRS its just taste..But we make our music anyways Right bruttha, just my opinion..

  • @telecaster24 Heh. True, everyone has their own tastes. I was talking about sound though, ever seen a 305? They're amazing, two "humbuckers" which are really two single coils which you can use either way. It's got two full 5 way selectors. It's amazing.

  • no classical guitars. most expensive guitars in the world are classical guitars

  • @101DIGITAL010 exactly! All these morons only know production made crap typical. fender this and gibson that. They dont even sound good. prs ,esp sound better and custom shops are cheaper lol

  • The fact the John Lennon's Casino or Rick were not in this is ridiculous

  • Some of these pictures have nothing to do with the guitars you've written about. That is not a 1949 Tele, much later version circa 70 or even 80s; both John and George had their own SGs (back of Revolver) so why would they need to share it. Yes, Hendrix played a white Strat at Woodstock and seemed to change Strats almost as much as he changed his underwear.

  • marley...plays gibson not washburn!!

  • Steve Wozniak offered Yoko $30 Million for John's Rickenbacker 325...but she wouldn't sell...that guitar is the undisputed "King" of "World's Most Valuable Guitars"...it changed the world....

  • the eruption in the background was really fucking annoying

  • Peter Green his trusty Les paul 59' Jimmy Page his Black Beauty, BB king's EDS 350 Gibson! Are the Only guitars that are priceless all the crap of eric clapton deserves on ebay for a 99% discount..

  • @bushokjew00t blackie was a fucking fantastic guitar. I agree with those guitars though, pretty fucking sick. Dont forget Paul Kassoff's Les Paul.

  • What price would be put on the "Rawlins" Stradivarius guitar (1 of 4 known to exist) made in Cremona in 1700? It's on display at the National Music Museum at the University of South Dakota. You couldn't trade it for all 10 on this list.

  • WTF? you skip 1959 gibson les paul?

  • The '59 Gibson Les Paul (Cherry Sunburst) is hands-down the most valuable guitar on the market. Only 520 made and around 400 shipped to stores. Aside from the Pre-WWII Martin D28 and the original Fender Broadcaster, the only thing making those guitars EXTREMELY valuable is either signatures or ownership. If those prices are right, that's a pretty cool list, though.

  • What about V81?
