@SandhillGuitar Thank you for your accurate information unlike the unaccurate video that i just watched what a waste of time it is if it is not accurate BAAAD INFO TIKU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@joakim456 Any real guitar collector will quickly assure you that as guitars age the wood ages and electronics oxidize giving each guitar its own voice. which players prefer and collectors pay $ for
Cool list but there is some missing. Dweezil Zappa has a stratocaster that Jimi Hendrix burned. He was going to sell it on ebay if the price reached 1mil and it only reached like $850,000. But the Stratocaster Jimi used at Woodstock was white with a maple fretboard.
@chadwr85 Much more is missing actually. Like the original and unique-shape custom-made guitar of unknown origin (currently owned by ''magic'' Alex Madras) used by John Lennon in the Sgt Pepper's album. And D. Gilmour owns the first Telecaster ever made ! He is pictured with it on the sleeve of his second solo record and plays it on McCartney's ''Cavern'' dvd. It'all messed up, paint half gone, even the wood looks badly damaged! Fancy 'though what a rich collector would pay for that relic !
@realitywakeupslap I know, I didn't say it was. I was naming both of those guitars saying the woodstock one was white, and the Dweezil one was worth 800k
I've had a LP custom, I still own a 50th Ann. Strat. I've had sort's of guitars. I still always come back to my $700 Jackson dinky. It's like coming home every time I pick it up.
@redc338able WTF ?!? dont you get sick of the high e slipping off the dinks' neck even when not trying to bend the string. Play an esp or ltd dlx and you will never go back. esp.com
what I love is, this vid supposedly show's the world's most expensive guitar's but, The song he picked to go with this is probably being played on the original Frankenstein guitar that Eddie made from parts and throw away junk!!
I don't like collecting. There are a lot of nice guitars that are way out of the normal person's price range, simple due to the collecting bug and, worse, speculation!
I don't want to criticize some people's passion but as a guitar player, I don't like the result.
The first guitar shown isn't a Broadcaster, it appears to be a 1970's Telecaster. As well as some of the other instruments shown are not the ones listed.
Haha buy me a master grade soild one piece sunken Brazilian rose wood Gibson les Paul body shape with a fast sexy neck styled after Jackson with a like dip instead of the dove joint with 24 frets and 42mm nut and the open book headstock with a abalone horse instead of the "les Paul model". All this in v12 finish in silver burst three tone color, and a 17 degree angle for the head stock. Mmmh what would that run 120,000? Worth it and it will play almost and good as it looks.
@rjake61 finally, yes thank you ! it was. Fender's white, whether it be alpine, olympic, or cream/eggshell always fade to ivory/yellowish white over time, especially kept under fluorescent light
Tony Iommi signature SG $400-500 and it sounds just as good as any of these. Why does anyone care what guitar Clapton played? Clapton sounds good on every guitar he has because he is good at playing!

This is a really crap , under researched load of bull . They are NOT photos of the ACTUAL guitars your`e describing . just similar models from years later . Thoroughly bad job !
@treetrunkss940 Simple, can't be included because Jimmie Vaghuan will never sell it. (Despite multiple multi-million dollor offers.) Which makes me happy, no one deserves it more than family. And as is with David Gilmours 1954 serial number "0001" Strat. (first strat, excluding prototypes of course). He said he'd never sell it either. Those guitars are above this list, they're priceless!!!!!!
Clarence Whites " B-bender" Telecaster currently owned by Marty Stuart and still played everyday was estimated to be worth over a million 10 years ago... and Billy Gibbons 59' 'Pearly Gates" Les Paul is worth over a million since he turned that offer down ..
and Jerry Garcia's guitars are not mentioned here either.. No telling what a rich deadhead might pay for a Garcia guitar if auctioned..
Guys, don´t be fooled. They are only expensive because of who owned them before. A lot of them raise that much, because the money goes to charity. Like Claptons guitars. Guitar Center bought them, they take them on tour through the U.S. People go and watch them, then buy something at the store they can afford. Guitar Center can probably write it off taxes, because it´s advertising or if not, then for charity. it´s a win win situation for everyone involved.
Without the celebrity ownership these are mostly just used guitars. What a rip off. I was hoping for something like Advanced Jumbo Gibson, Super L-5 (first or earliest Super 400, Broadcaster (maybe) but more like early Paul Bigsby stuff. Drop the guitar player idol worshit and show some master piece guitars not just stuff used by some famous rock star. A 1960s Strat is a 60s strat. Just because someone promoted these "artists" does not make their guitars that special. IMHO Collectors are idiots.
This WOULD have been REALLY cool had you actually come up w/ pix of the actual guitars. Those areactually available, but would take a bit of time to round up . NOT ONE(1) of the guitars in this vid shows the actual guitar that is being reported on. they are all stock photos of similar modle guitars or reproductions made by the parent guitar company. Cheesy!
@geod1234567890 i was more concerned with the facts presented in the video, but i suppose for those who can't read, pictures would've been nice too :)
That is not the WHITE STRAT Hendrix used at Woodstock... not reliable video... sorry... and what about the guitar burned at Monterey? that one is a true legend! Dweezil Zappa has that one and should cost a fortune... and what about some guitar from Jimmi Page or one of the Beatles? where did you get this info? I don´t ithink is accurate most of it...
lol at the description People around the world love to play guitar and listen the the rhythm of the famous guitar player. obviously jap x) no offense meant (;
celebrity guitars....like buying a used celebrity vehicle...it's only worth money to those that want bragging rights....otherwise...buying any fender strat that works for you, or if you're really lucky, a gibson les paul....but serious....this is all fluff stuff....nice, but belong in a museum like Marley's.........not hate'n or jealous....even if they were in museums, I'm not going to look at someone's guitar....painting, yes, only way to experience it.....instrument? no
I couldn't get through this without turning the sound off. I dunno who's playing but none of the artists who owned these guitars ever needed to jack off so many notes.
@zoltar5282 How are strats ugly? And, how does this list suck? Did you even READ the title? MOST EXPENSIVE GUITARS, not "10 best" or something. They're nowhere near being the 10 best. A PRS 305 blasts a tele or Washburn off the planet!
@Songwriter4God sorry nothing beats a TELE, especially a new PRS edition..Teles are work-horses..It is a fact you can get a tele to sound like other axes, but a PRS cannot do the same. ( teles are mockingbirds).I prefer tele's and you like PRS its just taste..But we make our music anyways Right bruttha, just my opinion..
@telecaster24 Heh. True, everyone has their own tastes. I was talking about sound though, ever seen a 305? They're amazing, two "humbuckers" which are really two single coils which you can use either way. It's got two full 5 way selectors. It's amazing.
@101DIGITAL010 exactly! All these morons only know production made crap typical. fender this and gibson that. They dont even sound good. prs ,esp sound better and custom shops are cheaper lol
Some of these pictures have nothing to do with the guitars you've written about. That is not a 1949 Tele, much later version circa 70 or even 80s; both John and George had their own SGs (back of Revolver) so why would they need to share it. Yes, Hendrix played a white Strat at Woodstock and seemed to change Strats almost as much as he changed his underwear.
Steve Wozniak offered Yoko $30 Million for John's Rickenbacker 325...but she wouldn't sell...that guitar is the undisputed "King" of "World's Most Valuable Guitars"...it changed the world....
Peter Green his trusty Les paul 59' Jimmy Page his Black Beauty, BB king's EDS 350 Gibson! Are the Only guitars that are priceless all the crap of eric clapton deserves on ebay for a 99% discount..
What price would be put on the "Rawlins" Stradivarius guitar (1 of 4 known to exist) made in Cremona in 1700? It's on display at the National Music Museum at the University of South Dakota. You couldn't trade it for all 10 on this list.
The '59 Gibson Les Paul (Cherry Sunburst) is hands-down the most valuable guitar on the market. Only 520 made and around 400 shipped to stores. Aside from the Pre-WWII Martin D28 and the original Fender Broadcaster, the only thing making those guitars EXTREMELY valuable is either signatures or ownership. If those prices are right, that's a pretty cool list, though.
hendrix played other strat in woodstock, the guitar were white.

You have to face the simple fact that they are only old and wanked out guitars.
If some dick-heads want to throw huge sums of money to buy them, that's their loss.
If someone famous once owned them, it does not change the fact that they are only old and wanked out guitars.
A flat piece of wood and a few rusty strings, that's all.
Apart from the stupid money issue, I wouldn't swap any of them for my new Epiphone les paul, which I am quite happy with.

wheres NO.1?????
treetrunkss940 2 weeks ago
@treetrunkss940 Simple, can't be included because Jimmie Vaghuan will never sell it. (Despite multiple multi-million dollor offers.) Which makes me happy, no one deserves it more than family. And as is with David Gilmours 1954 serial number "0001" Strat. (first strat, excluding prototypes of course). He said he'd never sell it either. Those guitars are above this list, they're priceless!!!!!!

lol, the most expensive guitar in the world is signed by Liam Gallagher.
sportsportsport 2 weeks ago

Satchmoeddie 2 weeks ago
I'd only pony up that money for a guitar that I'd actually play... not something that'd get hung up in some dickhead's museum.
BarryDennen12 2 weeks ago
Why post this then use stock footage instead of the actual guitars as well as pics of guitars that arent what is described? Annoying.
pdbordelon 3 weeks ago
This is cool, but I'd rather see the 10 most expensive guitars based on the quality of the guitar, not who used to own them or play them.

Bob Marley never played a Washburn guitar. He played his Gibson Les Paul Special and earlier on a Stratocaster.

@Tjoppy never ever ever huh ? well he had it made for him but i guess you and Bob were pretty tight huh ? wow.....
mayonard7 4 days ago
@mayonard7 have you ever seen a video or a picture of Bob Marley with a Washburn guitar?
Tjoppy 4 days ago
This WOULD have been REALLY cool had you actually come up w/ pix of the actual guitars. Those areactually available, but would take a bit of time to round up . NOT ONE(1) of the guitars in this vid shows the actual guitar that is being reported on. they are all stock photos of similar modle guitars or reproductions made by the parent guitar company. Cheesy!

I don´t ithink is accurate most of it...

lol at the description People around the world love to play guitar and listen the the rhythm of the famous guitar player. obviously jap x) no offense meant (;

What is the conclusion?
Is the quality of the guitar that makes its price, or who used it??
A Stratocaster, a Telecaster guitars are only madeindustrial standard with threaded neck, their current Chinese copies are identical ...
How much is a genuine Stradivarius compared to the stratum of Jimy Hendrix presented in this video?
For perspective, go visit a real luthier to work in his studio ... the time required for his work and the final price.

A 1959 Gibson Les Paul Sunburst in general is $750,000.... That's without it being a celeb's guitar...
kadjmusic 3 weeks ago
celebrity guitars....like buying a used celebrity vehicle...it's only worth money to those that want bragging rights....otherwise...buying any fender strat that works for you, or if you're really lucky, a gibson les paul....but serious....this is all fluff stuff....nice, but belong in a museum like Marley's.........not hate'n or jealous....even if they were in museums, I'm not going to look at someone's guitar....painting, yes, only way to experience it.....instrument? no

Songwriter4God 4 weeks ago
This list sucks. I think Strats sound good, but they are so ugly. Plus, this was basically Clapton's collection.
zoltar5282 4 weeks ago
@zoltar5282 How are strats ugly? And, how does this list suck? Did you even READ the title? MOST EXPENSIVE GUITARS, not "10 best" or something. They're nowhere near being the 10 best. A PRS 305 blasts a tele or Washburn off the planet!
Songwriter4God 4 weeks ago
@Songwriter4God sorry nothing beats a TELE, especially a new PRS edition..Teles are work-horses..It is a fact you can get a tele to sound like other axes, but a PRS cannot do the same. ( teles are mockingbirds).I prefer tele's and you like PRS its just taste..But we make our music anyways Right bruttha, just my opinion..
telecaster24 4 weeks ago
@telecaster24 Heh. True, everyone has their own tastes. I was talking about sound though, ever seen a 305? They're amazing, two "humbuckers" which are really two single coils which you can use either way. It's got two full 5 way selectors. It's amazing.

The fact the John Lennon's Casino or Rick were not in this is ridiculous
RigbyElectro 4 weeks ago
Some of these pictures have nothing to do with the guitars you've written about. That is not a 1949 Tele, much later version circa 70 or even 80s; both John and George had their own SGs (back of Revolver) so why would they need to share it. Yes, Hendrix played a white Strat at Woodstock and seemed to change Strats almost as much as he changed his underwear.

What price would be put on the "Rawlins" Stradivarius guitar (1 of 4 known to exist) made in Cremona in 1700? It's on display at the National Music Museum at the University of South Dakota. You couldn't trade it for all 10 on this list.
devdeanndyl 1 month ago
WTF? you skip 1959 gibson les paul?
Myguitars100 1 month ago
The '59 Gibson Les Paul (Cherry Sunburst) is hands-down the most valuable guitar on the market. Only 520 made and around 400 shipped to stores. Aside from the Pre-WWII Martin D28 and the original Fender Broadcaster, the only thing making those guitars EXTREMELY valuable is either signatures or ownership. If those prices are right, that's a pretty cool list, though.
