@freedomfascist yes therye lots of the i just cast off the shore the reel like trout fishing then they come grab it .  the big one took line off my reel and the drag wasnt really set loosely

Perch is one of my favorites to eat but perch are really common to have worms so watch out for that if your having a perch fish fry.
