  • I was diagnosed with Nystagmus when I was 3 months old. How tough was college for you? I lost my job awhile ago due to the economy and I am considering going back to school, I'm 27 years old. Can you see well enough to drive?

Also, I had the muscle surgery 10 years ago. I would NOT recommend it. Its made my vision much worse.

  • @itsbenjamin I actually still in college and going to university in september as I took a few years back. Honestly you should be absolutely fine :) remember to wear your glasses all the tiem and often a quick chat with your professor to make sure they are aware of your situation so they can seat you at the front and give you larger prints for papaerwork. Often you can get extra reading time in exams too! I can drive, but have not taken my test yet as its a big decision.

  • Hi! I have congenital nystagmus myself. I was born with it. I have 20/200 vision. I had trouble in school reading the cholk board, or I could not read the cholk board or the overhead projecter. I have to were sunglasses outside. I can barely see outside in the bright light, do you have that problem? I can't were glasses they don't work. I was crossed eyed when I was young, and had bad pink eye. Outside I can't see to play sports, but inside. I can play pretty well with sports. U have a nice day

  • Thank you so much for making this video! My four month old baby girl was just diagnosed with nystagmus and I had so many questions and feelings about it. You have answered most of my questions and addressed my feelings about her as she grows! I hope and pray she will be as confident and idependent as you are! Again thank you for sharing!
