@jakobitis89 The Hellboy version of Hecate has very little to do with the greek mythology one. Everything from the name pronunciation to the design and backstory is different.
So yes, the original Hecate is pronounced "Heckatty," but again, it's a different Hecate.
As much as I do like the movie, I still do not understand how Hellboy's indestructible right hand of doom that created the dreaded Ogdru Jahad cannot even dent Hecate's iron shell when a bath-tub can.
@DeusExAngelo its like in the percy jackson series. when percy's 3 foot celestial bronze sword bounced right off kronos's armour, a plastic blue hairbrush hit him with accuracy
Just to clarify...Hellboy is only fireproof in the movies, and this is based more on the comics (slightly.) He does, however, have a healing factor that makes Wolverine weep with envy.
At 6:23, when Hecate grabs Hellboy, that shouldn't have hurt him. he's fire proof, which means Hot Metal shouldn't hurt him. BAD MISTAKE Mike and Guillermo del Toro!!
It shouldn't hurt him. Fire doesn't hurt or damage Hellboy.
Now! He was probably hurting because Hecate was gripping him REALLY tight, then thats understandable. But the fire shouldn't hurt him period. Hellboy can grab hot metal and not be affected at all. He has in the comics AND the movie.
Haha. Dont feel bad. Ive been reading the Hellboy comics since 1997. Seven years after the comic started. Eleven years of Hellboy for me ^.^ Almost eighteen and I dont think I'll ever tire of the comics or movies
Hellboy is a demon from hell. REALLY hot and fire covered in hell. He would only substain damge from fire IF he was thrown into something from it/ And he has grabbed hot metal in the comics and in the books without even a hint of damage. I just feel that they messed up on that part. Your opinion is yours. Mine is mine. Sorry if we dont see eye to eye on it ^.^

He should be totally fireproof. Well Wolverine and him are different leagues, that's sci fi vs hb is horror fantasy.

The BPRD is wrecking the place! Not that Trumbolt is going to care since he's already dead. But hey at least they can say he helped kill the vampire.

Just b/c he's fire proof doesn't mean hot metal isn't going to hurt him. It just means that it won't kill him or do any major damage.
