People, would you stop arguing about religien already???!!! Please, just enjoy that wonderful song, and if you still want to discuss, do it somewhere else, like on YT e-mails, your Channels or whatever...
Anyway, i'm addicted to that song o.o....its awesome ♥
I believe it has a reference to how some orthodox Christians/Catholics/Jewish people treat women, especially because of those Bible verses, Eve being mentioned and the pretty cursive writing mostly expensive bibles has ancient markings and cursive writing with thin pages.
@zombiehunter3579 if you know nothing about other religions don't mention them... orthodox and catholic ppl don't treat in a "special way" women because of Eve.... neither a bad nor a good way.... First learn sth about the things u talk and AFTER that start "believing it has references"....
Excuse Me, but both of my parents were raised Catholic and my mom was not treated as highly as the guys. I have read the bible and frankly it sucks along with a lot of words I am not going to type. I was just posting what I believed the song to be about and you should really learn good grammatical skills and how to write real words before you start to criticize beliefs. Yes, orthodox Christians and Catholics and Jewish and Hell the Amish people, too treat woman in another class.
@rfjohnson69 Well, really, it stands for anyone that has a similiar problem of everyone looking down on them. It may stand for that, yes, but it works for all aswell.
The song is about religion. In particular about women's place in most male dominated religions. I think there is a strong Catholic Christian focus, but the ideas can be associated with pretty much any orthodox patriarchy.
@FanRockGirl I think it's about the witch trials and possibly their view on christianity. Just what I get from the song. Theres a few biblical references so it makes sense for it to have some form of connection.

@queenxofxdeadxhearts Simple. Notice how at the beginning it says "A false comfort of thin paper"? Meaning the bible. And several little small hints~
