I checked the minimum requirements of this game and it says that you require at least a "512Mb Graphic Card with SM3 Support" and 2GB Ram :-!!!

I mean those crappy graphics look like they are from the PlayStation 1 Era!!

And it also states that you need at least a 128+ MegaByte internet connection.

C'mmon do you think we are from Siberia.

I mean even Battlefield 2 runs fine on a 2 MegaByte connection.

yikes! i remember seeing a cloumn of tanks like that coming from the spawn garage when i was hiding in the bushes from the allies! Despite the graphics, the game gets pretty realistic sometimes!

1.28 in beta is alot better, this is a version of ww20ol that is really old. alot of rework has been done since this video came out

Kid, this is a simulator for grown ups. Day of defeat is an ARCADE game for 12 year olds and is not worthy of being compared to something as magnificent as this. The graphics are not given priority. But EVERYONE is forced to be on the same server in WWIIOL, the battle is going on 24/7 and the map is THE ENTIRE WESTERN PART OF EUROPE, modeled perfectly to 1/2 scale. So ofcourse the graphics cannot be brilliant when you have to render all of western europe, LITERALLY.

em, As much as I agree with you. I have to say, not all younger folk are idiots unlike jake . I am 13 , and I know that it is IMPOSSIBLE to even compare the two. DOD has decent graphics, but it sucks otherwise!

WW2 Online is a brilliant masterpeice! It would be impossible to play if the graphics were next gen on a regular pc now, for the scale is to great!

Age makes no difference, It is the persons mentallity. It's ashame that many younger people act like him, oh well his loss.

i also started playing this game when i was 14. i got hooked instantly, its so challenging and rewarding! :)

but dont underestimate the kids of today. my cousin and some younger friends of mine were quite fascinated by the accuracy and the detail put into this game, though only my cousin plays it actively now. ;)

Still no excuse to not push this game's graphics engine forward. Atleast do something withthe sound effects. I like this game but the infantry combat lag and the graphics are pissing me off. This game is evolving way to slowly...then you have players who wanna keep this game looking like stick figures. Why in the hell do people not wanna see high detailed infantry or ragdoll effects in game? Makes in-game combat more fun. Yeesh...something needs to change. Oh yea....allies have it on easy mode.

they are currently working on a graphics overhaul people do want to see a better engine but it isnt exactly easy to keep up the scale of the game with an advanced engine and expect all players to have high end systems

The game doesn't have to look like call of duty 5. But it also doesn't have to look like stick figures either. Infantry combat is the back bone of the game and it is also the ugliest portion of the game. Close quarter combat sucks horribly they need to do something about it.

@Clownx66 the Cornered Rat company is making a new patch known as patch 1.31. There are MANY new things they added such as new sound effects, rag-doll effects, weather effects, the buildings are better looking, there are more trees, bushes, rocks, grass etc. The characters though have only changed a little bit but it doesn't really make a huge difference because the patch is looking BEAUTIFUL. So allot has changed.

LOL battlefield2 is an arcade game. THIS game is not about graphics and is a SIMULATOR. Its a flight simulator, navy simulator, tank simulator all put together. In WWIIOL, the map is europe, to 1/8th scale perfectly. To run from one end of the map to the other would take weeks if you left your computer on. There is ONE server, always running a constant real-time battlefield with a front line. BF2 doesn't have SHIT on this game

LOL BF is a kids game which takes no skill at all to play. I doubt you could even get a 110 kill with a dewo, I take that back I know you couldn't. As far as inf goes, you would be sniped before you could even make it out of the depot, or FB. Stick to your BF its where you belong.

Bushes and buildings have been completely updated though. You rarely find those 2D buildings anymore. No, a lot of those objects in game have gone through makeovers.

Actually no, they didn't even have the 109F three years ago. This pretty close to what it looks like.

The graphics "suck" because the engine renders for 6 kilometers in every direction. If you had CoD2 quality in those distances, even something as powerful as a Cray would stutter.

Graphics might be rediculous considering the fact this promo is at least 3 years old, if not more. Old video. Basically all the trees and buildings have been replaced, and all other models have been updated. Check WWIIOL on wikipedia for current ingame screenshots.
