Another good thing about Chickenfoot is that it puts some pressure on Eddie and the boys to come up with a better record 'cause it's going to get compared with a quality rock album.
@Mottahead i like chickenfoot,joe satriani did a pretty good job on it and i am looking forward to another one but i doubt very much if that will have an impact on eddie.i want to be wrong but i doubt if we will see another van halen album and if we do there is no garantee that it will be good.

One could say that Sammy is full of sh*t, but EVH's history the last fifteen/twenty years doesn't exactly exonerate him of all charges. He played like sh*t on the last Roth/VH tour, hasn't put out an album since the mid 90's, and seems to be alienating everyone. So I'm going w. Sammy's version of events.

Mine is : I like much of Dave's material, I like Eddie's playing (fantastic) and I also like Sammy Hagar as a singer (his is one of the best voices in rock ever), and the Chickenfoot band was also amazing.
Another good thing about Chickenfoot is that it puts some pressure on Eddie and the boys to come up with a better record 'cause it's going to get compared with a quality rock album.

Well, if there's an album it has to be good - it will be the Van Halen family - Diamond Dave Reunion.
I wished they had recorded this album in 1996 (the two songs on the BEst OF album were good).
My reasoning for this is :
- Diamond Dave is kind of old (I'm being nice to him) and doesn't have the same voice and I don't know if his antics would be funny in 2011
- After going through a lot of personal shit, Eddie as a player was simply mediocre during the last tour

During Sammy's solo ......... Toby Keith came out and jammed with Hagar.
