  • ah I love enka :) there is just something about Ayako Fuji... she just has something special, but other artists like Yoko Nagayama are still really nice :)

  • so sad :**(

  • i'm from albania and i love everything about japanese music, customs and culture... enka is absolutely amazing, i think if more people in my country knew such a music existed enka would be the latest craze! i just love it... and nagayama yoko always looks and sings so perfect, love her so much!

  • The most charming thing about Enka is that a lot of those songs are about life with very postivie attitude. These songs make you strong. Like, telling u never to give up. Some are about parental love and even romantic love. Full of life.

  • Beautiful <3

  • Yoko Nagayama.

  • who is this?

    Dare desu ka?

  • Nagayama Yoko-san,

    As it says in description.

  • totally flew over my head :/

  • No prob. ^^

  • 最愛(≥ω≤)~洋子さん~!

  • Gostei desse e de outros vídeos desse gênero. Obrigado.

  • japanese is like the only language that works for this...i think thats why its so unique

  • It works for Korean too.

  • Chinese has something similar

  • actually you need to look up folk songs in europe, all the slavik countries sing like this. Like serbia, croatia, poland, russia, etc.

i went to japan this summer and bought lots of Enka albums. Im shocked to see the resemblance with european music :D its really cool!

  • It's because Europe and Japan are awesome.

  • wow! lovely! I lIKED IT, but a lil' too slow for me.

  • You need to go out more, stay in school, or possibly read a book or three...

  • vai tomar no seu cu!!

  • Hey Chikichan. Thanks for posting this great song here. You don't say in your introduction where you came from. You're not American, are you?

  • Where can you buy the CD to the enka songs?

  • I think a lot of people look down on Enka, but I like it! This is lovely.

  • Never say "kekko" till you've heard "Yoko" (Nagayama). John7772399

  • lovely

  • I love this song!

  • I love Enka. I come back to Tokyo for the second time tis summer. It is a great country. Jesús Madrid (Spain)

  • i live at tokyo.

i really love this song, enka is the best ^_^

  • This is really great. Thanks a lot. I was thinking about Tokyo today, missing it, and then this. Cheers.

  • I love these type of Japanese song a lot. Thx. Is there any chance you could suggest some popular or good song for me? since I am not Japanese :P

  • These songs are so easy to sing, and a good tool for learning the language. You have to "shop around", listen to many enka songs on you tube and find out what singer you like, then try to sing those songs in karaoke or something if you meant that. Listen to the words and write them down (since you might not be able to read Japanese), many foreigners do this.

  • Yoko Nagayama, right`?

  • Yup ^_^ This is from her tv show.

  • Thanks for upload.

  • i love it

  • Shinjuku Oiwake is a place name in Shinjuku district of Tokyo, where the 2 major avenues (Ome Kaido and Koshu Kaido) part. It's an intersection. In this song she is torn between going left or right, going forward or returning. Like taking decisions in real life.

  • What does "Oiwake" mean?
