Amazing video my Father lived in Garston and his brother worked in the GAS works. Our families have been traced back to Westmoreland and Northumberland. They were farmers and came to the Pool for work in the 1800's.I spent many happy holidays there and remember the trips to see relatives in Old Garston. Thank you.

This video is showing what happened to a tight community in garston where I once lived that was destroyed by LCC. When I was young this was a sort after place to live. So sad to think what happened to it.
im 41 now but used to mess about around those streets when i was a teenager. Moved away when i was 20. was a real shock seeing them now. A brilliant video clip, thanks for posting it.

Scouse Times only film areas that are being knocked down - if the 'posh' areas are going, they'll film that - if not, no one is really interested & why call them a muppet?? I think Scouse Times are doing a boss job - more than anyone else!
