@liftboymeister, do you have the original version of Tico Tico by Los Indios Tabajaras? Now, I´m curious about it, after all that discussion....this version of the Video is Paco....Nato Lima had other style...a wonderful style, let´s speak seriously...
@liftboymeister All see: Tico Tico by Raphael Rabello, a great master of brazilian guitar (this is not a concert or tv show...but he was in his living room, and after good beers, hehe.
Definitely NOT Los Indios Tabajaros This is an exact copy of the YouTube version, "Paco De Lucia-Tico Tico Made by raga". The only difference is how it was recorded. This version was recorded with some room reverb the other a direct line recording. Even the fade-out at the end is EXACTLY the same. You would have to be deaf to think this was done by Los Indios. liftboymeister es un mentiroso.
@kanakaken I'm downloading this version before 6-7 years on Limewire, and as performers are listed Los Indios Tabajaras, so I have nothing to do with the above-piston Paco de Lucia and the guitar sound to me like the original act Tabajaras. Listen to Tico-Tico performed by Paco de Lucia (from marRicardo), which has almost 3 million viewers - to me this version does not sound like the mine.
@liftboymeister I had both versions on my screen & listened to them section by section, all the little slides & triplets are in exactly the same place it's in exactly the same pitch same & the ending in particular has EXACTLY the same fade-out. The ONLY difference is the Paco version sounds as though it was a direct line recording whereas the Tabajaras one sounds like it was an open one with a little room reverberation. I listened with headphones they pick up the tinyest squeak.
@kanakaken Strongly disagree, other arrangements are completely and there is no chance that these same contractors, at my performances can be heard clearly leading and rhythm guitar, and in Paco version is clearly heard only one guitar. To claim that this is the same performance is frivolous. I repeat I have both versions - my version and the version of marRicardo (Paco - Tico-Tico).
@liftboymeister You can disagree as strongly as you like, they are exactly the same except for the volume of the sound of one is lightly softer and a little muffled I can understand why you think they are definitely different especially when you say you can hear only one guitar in the Paco De Lucia version, you MUST be listening with your head up your arse because there are DEFINITELY two guitars. This is why I said you must listen with headphones you cannot hear it clearly enough from speakers
@liftboymeister Dobar dan, Kako ste. I have had another thought, it's possible the version supposedly done by Paco De Lucia was actually done by Los Indios Tabajaras, but I doubt it. You need to listen with a pair of headphones. If you do you will hear every note replicated on each recording & all the nuances are the same.

This is Los Indios Tabajaras. Paco De Lucia did play it, as did many other guitarists, but if you listen you will hear different styles and arrangements.
@Witatsois Listen to the ending, the fade-out at the end is EXACTLY the same on each. It's not a matter of each or one artist copying the other, the fade-out is done by the sound engineer. The two stage fade-out at the end of each track is started at exactly the same point, the volume diminishes at exactly the same rate & the second stage of the fade-out also begins at the same note until the very end of the track. I think both tracks were done by Paco De Lucia, it doesn't sound like Los Indios.
@kanakaken With all due respect, I have been a professional musician since the age of eight years in a family of musicians.I am well acquainted with studio mechanics. I do not know if the untrained ear can hear it, but there are many subtle differences throughout the piece between each recording, even in the second guitar and the maracas. I will not argue the point but the 'fade out' is not in the exact place although,of course, they are very close. The arrangements are the same.
@kanakaken It is, of course, possible that the piece "Tico Tico" listed here as by Paco De Lucia was,in fact, redone from the master by Los Indios Tabajaras which could account for some very subtle differences. In any case, this is Los Indios Tabajaras. They were the first 'recorded' classical guitarists I was introduced to as a very young child. I grew up with their music as part of my musical education.
