Park your navel units next to the cost where you are fighting for a nice boost to your attacking and defense units in the nearby squares.

in the very first start of the game, the most important building that u have to build is barracks and library. u can build this buildings after u already recruit two warriors.

u have to take advantage to the time that ur enemy's not declaring war to you.

u cant put the tanks as a defender, u cant command a hoptite to attack beacause they r weak to attack mode. if u conquer one of ur enemy's city, building a walls is useless, unless u already put a defender army not tanks. if u have four cities, the one can wonders, the one should build ur armys, the other can build the thing that makes ur economy grow.

i learned that if allies pyut units as close as possible to one of ur cities their gonna threaten. also, ni usually put weaker units in the same place as strong att but weak def units like catapaults so that the weaker units get attacked

Personaly, I think it´s because of the massive bonuses that the hill gives them. Civ has always had this problem. Once, I played Civ 4, and my Helicopter got blown out of the sky by this pair of Grenadiers.
