  • ur style is kind of like walter rays but you let the ball go differently good video :)

  • on 3rd game was tim like upset?

  • from what i have seen in many bowling leagues is that they have a large backswing and most are power bowlers

  • I just recently got into bowling, & I played better than I thought I would. This guy is good!

  • nice rollin. whats the oil pattern????

  • A really, really easy 40 foot house pattern. Flood in the middle between the 15s (3rd arrow) and tapered out to about the 5 board. Play around second arrow and you have all the tug room in the world! I've bowled on all the house shots in the greater Seattle area and this one was probably the highest-scoring (next to Leilani Lanes in Seattle when it was still around). Thanks for the compliment though!

  • they are winsome pins

  • what kind of are those

  • The pins are AMF AMFlite II, 3 pounds 6 ounces. Being on the lighter side, they fly like crazy.

  • why curl it so much? if it was me id try to hit the pins as hard as possible

  • Because in bowling, the "curl" or hook that you put on the ball equates to power. If you could physically throw the ball 100mph straight at the pins that would not help you get strikes. You need to set off a chain reaction of pins falling in order to consistently throw strikes, which is done by having the ball hook into the "pocket" which is the area between the 1 and 3 pins for a righthander. The more powerful the "curl," the more the pins fly around and into each other, creating more strikes.

  • what about 200mph

  • @lionking300 more hook does not mean more power

  • Hey I was there. I remember watching you. You are really good. I live up in maltby/monroe that area. Bowled my 257 recently at kenmore. I hate the building, but the lane conditions are good.

  • raging red... best ball i ever had.

  • Thanks! And congratulations are in order to Brendan Pecht (shown during the team portion of the video) who just shot a record 813 series last Thursday 12/27 (267-279-267), his second highest sanctioned set in over 25 years of bowling.

  • i never heard flush strikes sounds like this, sick but real awesome, nice movie as well, keep on!!!!

  • man my high score is a 280

  • Thank you very much. Yeah I've bowled at a few houses like that, those averages are crazy, wow! My 222 is good for 3rd right now out of all the league bowlers at Kenmore and our anchor guy is 1st at 229. You guys probably have a lot of great bowlers and a really soft shot to have those high avgs, still 236 is great. Keep it up. Still waiting for my ring from slooow USBC, been over 2.5 months now!

  • haha yea you'll get it by the start of next season if you're lucky. yea our anchor avg 245 is in the CBA hall of fame, so he knows the game

  • my avergae is a 244

  • Congrats on the 800 that's a nice accomplishment. The house i bowl at is almost too easy to get to the pocket. We have 5 man teams and our avgs, are 245,236,230,226,225. I'm 23 and i'm sitting at the 236. It's fun shooting high scores but if you do tournaments it comes back to hurt you alot, cuz you can be lazy and play wherever you want. keep up the good work

  • The bowlers that have a lot of side roll and bend it a lot are the ones that have the most trouble carrying - guys that like to go straighter with forward roll like me and Brendan (our anchor bowler, seen at the end of the clip) seem to have a higher pocket carry percentage at Kenmore. I'm now throwing an AMF Night Hawk (aggressive, late breaking reactive) and Monster Bruiser (medium reactive) with a lot of success.

  • Yeah it's not hard to get to the pocket, but you still have to execute to carry - our house is known for lots of corner pins. I'm having a breakout season so far this year @ 222 and I shot my first sanctioned 800 (246-267-290=803) the first week of league. I've worked on my timing since this video and that has helped my consistency.

  • must be an easy shot out there. You can spray the ball all over the place and still strike. you should be avg in the 220's easy, work on ur approach and you'll be alright.

  • Kenmore has long been known to have a very easy shot. I'm almost positive that back in '77 or so they were running a silicone oil stripe down the center five boards- the ball would hit 18 board and absolutely would NOT move!

  • Thanks for all the comments and tips. I used to bowl collegiately for the Washington Huskies and had a great coach there who really helped me with my game, but I haven't seen him in a couple years so I guess I'm starting to fall back into some bad habits. My final avg. was 208 for the season.

The first day of the 2007-2008 Redhook Scratch Trios League is tomorrow, I'm excited to finally be back and defend our League Championship!

  • Very awesome display of some good bowling. I used to average 123 when we did it all the time. After about a year, I decided to take this girl out and do something. We went bowling. I did 145. That was my highest ever! The next night around... 150! WOW! Then on a following night... 176! I was stoked. I asked a friend if he wanted to bowl. Guess what? First game put me in 206 with 5 strikes in a row.

  • Kenmore is a dive

  • your footwork needs a bit of fine tuning, and you are swinging your arm around your back and dropping your shoulder. But nice games.

  • I agree, but what I've also learned, whatever works is whatevers best for you. I've seen people averaginf 225, and their delivery is waaaay unorthodox.

    But its all good.

  • dude wat was his score?? 200+

  • nice bowling are u guys pro's? if not u should be

  • nice
