  • I wonder how do they source parts for these engines,r there after market parts fitted,pistons valves,cylinders etc?

  • @herse88 Roush Aviation is making a lot of parts for the Merlin. Not sure all what they make but it's quite a bit!

    They source parts from the remaining stockpiles of NOS parts and are beginning to make the parts which are no longer available. Parts supply is becoming a critical issue for warbird operators. They are not to the point of making completely new engines, but that could become a reality one day. Jack Roush (Roush Racing) does manufacture some Merlin parts, since the Merlin sees more use than any other engine.
