Sir, very nicely done. Looks like you are on the porch of your house. This is definitely a song one would play and sing on the front porch of his house, approaching the witching hour with a full moon out, perhaps a goblet of the nectar of the gods, partly cloudy, the crickets, nighthawks and owls in full chorus, contemplating the mysteries of the universe.
Great rendition of this song, you have given it a different twist. Beautiful vocals and the guitar is wonderfully played keeping that soulful spirit. Congratulations!
You're killing me Larry. I just can't get over another musician picking all of the songs that i thought were the great ones and why i could never in my life find other musicians to share this selection of songs to play in all of the bands I've played in. Besides having the talent of a gifted voice or three and good musicianship, song selection is the secret to band success and of course a decent arrangement of the song. Do you have an interest to put a band together to do all of these songs?
A few ways that you can play this. He is playing the chords Dmaj7-Em7 back and forth and then to a A7. Or you can play with the capo in the same fret as he has and then play a Cmaj7- Dm7 to a G7.
hey Larry, it sounds like one of your trakcs involves something with nylon strings, It didnt look like it but then I also didnt see that the one guitar you played was a 12 so go figure. I like this cover incidentally.
Very nice version of this wonderful song. Did anyone know that Barbara Lewis wrote this song? I didn't until I saw her last name on the 45!! Yeah for her!!
I am working on an acoustic cover of it, but with a mellow acoustic doing the melody because my singing voice is terrible LOL. This was a really good job, I could actually listent o this for recreation, which is not true of all cover material I hear. Nice johb on this man!
Larry, for a long time I only watched videos on you tube and didnt sign up to post comments, you are the reason I did finally. You are in my estimation AMAZING!
Absolutely love your version here, also your other stuff.....Americas "Todays the day" is beautiful. MAN! Keep playing and thank you so much!
wow man that was great. i would like the chords if you have them online. awesome backing vocals. im guessing they were all you? did you have just one mic set up?
As usual Larry, you've made my day. Is there a way to find out your musical bio? As for me, I'm a former record industry veteran and member of the Chantels... great job.
Larry is it.....you sing beautifully. My name is Maria and I wondered if I may use this video with your permission to re-record Hello Stranger along with my vocals? I want to avoid copyright problems. Let me know, fellow fan and youtube singer Sincerely,zupergranny2
hmmmmm......do you think they are real birds in the backyard or are they canned sound effects added in? Either way, l like it.....:D Nice touch......l am still waiting for that Pina Colada......ha ha!
A very nice treatment of this 60s tune, Larry. I'm so old I didn't know Yvonne Elliman had covered it. Excellent sound to have been recorded outdoors, too.
Larry.....im liking this video...nice relaxing breezy day, friends, and good music.....all we need is a cold drink and the day is perfect....and i agree with SQDLVR, you look so relaxed and its good to see that..........ione marie
Larry, nice to see you in the outdoors enjoying the summer weather. NIce cover of a classic tune! You seem more relaxed and in a laid back vibe in the outdoors!! More videos like this one please!

I tried playing it with Cmaj7 and Fmaj7. Then G at the end of the series. Sounds pretty good. Also for parts of "don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying".
