@MrMRCAZAR u bought it before test driving it and test driving the stang and camaro? I am not even ready to buy any of the 3 but test drove them all...
@hohohee1 ya thats the auto no manual dont ask me why the the get more you would think the manual would but i guess not ......and i dont know what part of canada your in but you see a lot around where i live
@ferdinand139 I drove one and I can tell you it is a pretty solid car, it feels softer than the camaro or mustang, more like a grand touring car but the sound from the hemi makes it all worthwhile. Plus the aftermarket offers lots of suspension upgrades that make it a tighter car.
It depends on what you want and what your going to use it for. If you want the prestige of the top of the line version, a nicer (more leather) interior, Brembo brakes installed, have an extra $10,000 to spend, and your a hardcore racer, the SRT8 is for you. The RT is cheaper, gets better gas mileage, and can be equipped as an optional extra with just about everything the SRT8 has. BUT, it also has 375 hp to the SRT8's 425 hp. Whats more important to you?
@VirtualSuperSoldier well i know for a fact that japanese cars are the most reliable so if i were to buy an american car itd be this challenger and id want the best one so im guessing the srt8 is lol thanks for the reply though
@diablo254 A cold air intake, high performance ignition wires, and high performance exhaust should get you close to SRT 8 range. I'm not really sure how scaleable that engine is. In the quarter mile it's only just a hare slower though, stock.
I got so into thinking about upgrades, I forgot about the gas milage bit. Lol! Most people who do this sort of thing to their cars don't really car about gas milage, they do it for performance and it gives them a great excuse to step on the gas! It's a good question tho. It's reasonable to assume that letting more air in, and a hotter spark would increase gas mileage under normal driving conditions. It's still a 5.7 liter engine, your just making it more efficient.
@VirtualSuperSoldier lol cool... so for the exhaust.. which is best for the challenger to give it that nice loud engine like the older muscle cars did? i know i wanna save gas, but to hear it roar when starting it.... know what i mean?
There are a few options, but its all about personal preference tho. Starting with anything MOPAR would be smart. There are lots of vids on here of guys showing off their exhaust note, just kick back with a nice set of headphones and compare as you like. It should be a helluva sound track!
@VirtualSuperSoldier lol i will.... srry with the questions... now with the interior space... i would like to get a nice shiny black with gold stripes.. now does the interior have to be black as well to go well with the exterior, or are there any other colors that would work well with a black exterior? rather that or a silver challenger with black or gold stripes or a really nice tone of red
Damn it there was a dealership selling a used 09 fully loaded and yes 6 speed with only 13,000 miles for 34 grand but when i went to the dealership the next day it was gone. Fuck how I regret not getting it the same day! I fucked up
@D1am0nd77 one would automatically assume that the challenger srt8 is better, although if you think about, both models seem to pull off the same performance, however everyone can agree that the challenger is one fucking sexy car
@D1am0nd77 Challenger all the way for me. Charger looks kind of clunky, like it hit a wall. But I always liked the old mopars and the Challenger looks like a Challenger. Charger looks nothing like the original.
omg you guys who live in US have lucky :( in mexico we have just challenger SRT on automatic version, i think this one is standar :( congratz for all of u
