  • Oh, I'd love to play this game again.

  • I remember playing this on my brother's laptop on an arcade emulator while on a roadtrip... we stopped at a gas station and this is what was playing when we opened the door. Everyone around us was like O_o

  • the insert coin music has a good sense of urgency, that sort of says, hurry up! you gotta save april!

  • Fire!

  • @RockNRollahGuy101 Ummm...I like Call of Duty...and I like this game too. So yeah...stop being an idiot and saying stupid shit.

  • Oh shellshock !!

  • i played this on xbox on friday brought back so many memories

  • $10 in quarters and tendonitis in my "attack"/ "jump" hand for three days when this game first hit the floor at the local arcade.

  • People should be thank full for games like this because they have paved the way for much more games . Not that they have gotten any better now but they at least still make games which I though it would not continue to go this far, but it has. TMNT is one of the best arcade games of its time, and I still like it like I did when I first started playing it years ago. Gotta love these 'ol school games'

  • 14 retards never got to be kids.

  • It hurts to watch this.

  • hard to believe but the TMNT wasnt originaly meant for kids, they eventually turned into a kids cartoon, and back in those days they made millions off it

  • Raphael looks so bad ass... he was my fav. No bullshit attitude get the job done any means necessary.

  • @stukabomber44 i had 2 favs, leo and raph

  • I liked the part when april picks up the turtles, and then proceeds to crash.

  • i wish this was still around like ms.pac-man

  • one word classic

  • Cowubunga dude! This i wish i was around for!

  • i wish this was a shirt :D

  • The 87 TMNT theme song is strong, you can't help but appreciate it being played during the episode, you know something is going to happen.

  • Oh wow, this is so nostalgic XDD

  • Shredder cerated 13 accounts

  • woah RAD flashback!!! this was one of my most favorit shows as a kid! thanks for sharing dude!

  • played this game in the local arcade shop near where i live in ireland, brings back those childhood memories, i also played this on the nes nintendo entertainment system, then recently i found this game again under arcade games on xbox live, well i couldn't believe my luck i have been searching for this game for a couple of years and walla its on xbox live under arcade games. wish they would do something about the terrible online lag in the game though.

  • The board this game ran on had a chip dedicated entirely to the theme song.

  • 9 people couldn't get past Bebop.

  • @r2k3982

    Or Rocksteady.

  • i used to play this game at the local bowling alley. i remember it took me $10.00 to beat the whole game lol. ahhh good times.

  • ONE OF THE BEST GAMES OF ALL TIME

  • Hell yea!! I was always Raph!! :D

  • @PapagenoJuan2 he had the most Moves he could Roll Attack if u press down, and Jump and Attack Rocksteady the 1st Level Boss couldn't stand a Chance against it!

  • Listen to that Bass!

  • this game is awsome!!!!

  • someone needs to make a new one, 8 - 16 bit graphics, arcade beat-em-up, no more shitty remakes, and bring back the old arcades! BRING BACK THE TRUE WORTH OF A QUARTER!!!

  • WHY didn't Konami do a 4-player Castlevania arcade game like TMNT? It would've been a hit!

-Players are: Sypha, Alucard, any Belmont, Grant (all have different reaches)

-Bosses are from CV games, but now in arcade glory. Final bosses are Death and a towering Dracula (ala Shredder) who spears you.

-Enemies are zombies, skeletons, bats (1 hit kills), fishmen and speared knights (take more hits due to armor)

-Stages are also CV style, but add new ones.

    -Special throwing weapons per character

    :-D

  • @Joelomite That would be a GODLY idea,props to you,man :)

  • Cowabunga!

  • Che ricordi..

  • the 80's games like this had good themes u could use in wrestling or sports i miss this era

  • I am glad they put this game on the XBOX Live arcade, now I get to relive fun times. Plus I always get the most points at the end

  • @Ace00024

They also put Turtles In Time on the Ps3

  • @hkhk96 Thats right. it came to live and psn but its a horrible remake... :(

  • @Scirzorz

    I agree

  • this is gold!

  • hahahaha <3

  • i started pressing donatello but nothing happened :(

  • *Press's start* COWABUNGA!

  • they use to have this game at chuck e cheese. then they replaced it with the simpsons fighting game :C

  • I played this game so much at the local bowling alley during the 1990-1991 bowling season. That same bowling alley had Double Dragon, Turbo Out Run, Shadow Dancer, and Cyclone pinball. Those were the golden years for arcade video games.

  • COWABUNGA! (Had to be said^^)

  • lol this was the first game i ever played in the arcade and this was in 1999-2000 lol way after this game came out

  • i remember playing this at my local arcade all the time , what an amazing game

  • @DrinkingHalfpint

Ditto; it really is too bad that the American arcade scene has died down these past few years.

  • LOL, memories on the arcade :P

  • i have seen this screen so much a i allways smiles... "Cowa bungaa"

  • does any one a flux capaster so we can go back to an eara were tv music radio and video games rocked (80's-90;s)

  • Your favorite turtle reflected your personality. I was always the cool wise ass. You know my favorite turtle was Raph

  • @Praetorian107 hmmm so true lol i was always donatello and now im the smart guy in the gang, my friend jake was raphael and is now the rude dude, my cousin joie was always michelangelo and now she is always the life of the party and my other cousin bradley would play as leonardo and he is the oldest of us four and is like a leader to us lol good times XD id bug the hell out of my mom to give us more tokens to play lol good times... never had enough tokens to keep us going till the very end lol

  • is this the coin-op machine or home console ?

  • even in 8 bit this song kicks major ass.

  • Does anyone know where i can get this for a ringtone?

  • COWABUNGA

  • i used to have this game on ps1

  • @prodigyshadow download mame emulator and play it arcade style

  • I can't find the freakin cartoon theme intro, because of copyright violation!?! I missed the old you tube. It was free from censorship, commercials and B.S blocks.

  • love the music

  • Oh man the memories. One of my all time nostalgic favorites. What I would pay for that arcade now.....

  • My Favorite Turtle is Leonardo, because of his Katanas.

  • I always play this game when my mom forces me to go to this race track. They have an arcade their (and it is air conditioned to be cooler than the freaking ice age). this is one of 2 games I blow all of my quarters on...

  • i played this game all the time at show biz pizza (now chucky cheeses) when i was a kid. loved it!

  • Iám a Bid TMNT Fan!

    Great! =)

  • Damn it I want to hop in and play!! NOW!!

  • Good memories. take us back!

  • @18 seconds was the best bit for me.

  • 0:18 - 0:56 would make a great loop.

  • Listen to the Bass on that bad boy....

  • lol the second music is the same that plays with the GB-Game all the time (at least in the first few levels). and it never gets bothersome.

  • this is in Remi Gaillard - Pizza :D

  • This is accurate to "The Arcade Game" opening, and is not altered. Konami did a great job with this game, and the board it utilized in the arcade is good as well.

    Excerpt from the technical info:

"Uses 5 different sound chips, they are 1 YM-2151 running at 3.58 MHz, an 007232 chip, a uPD7759 at 0.64 MHz, analog sound samples, and a custom chip."

  • Psp Go is a hunk of junk

  • best turtles game by far,the console games were poor compared to the arcade

  • I take offence to that the Sega Gensis and Super Nes Versions were excelent games as well.

  • this was my favourite game in the arcades, such nostalgic moments...

  • aww man. i remember sittin in front of the tmnt machine for like 5 minutes straight listening to this song after i lost against shredder for the 1st time. i was pissed....

  • Oh man, where's a START button when you need one?

The picture, plus the music from 0:18 onward makes me want to play it now!

  • Mikey is my fav so far

  • Seconded.

  • BEST GAME!:D

  • So many memories I have of pouring all my quarters into this game at a local pizza shop when I was a kid and it was worth every cent!

  • @GamerBoyGU82

    Me in 1994:

    1) Beg mom for quarters, promise to clean up room when I get home.

    2) Run my ass over to the machine before the other guy(s) playing die.

    3) Pick a turtle in this order, depending on who is taken already: Leo, Ralph, Mikey and Don

    4) Bash some faces in

  • @GamerBoyGU82 YEAH! arcades were just boss... i loved SF2

  • @GamerBoyGU82 What are the odds of them putting a TMNT game in a pizza shop huh!!! My favorite arcade game of ALL time!!!

  • @GamerBoyGU82 I went to a pizza joint all of my life before it finally got closed down. They had this game, The Simpsons, and Robocop. The TMNT machine always had it's sound set to max, so it was really loud no matter where you sat. This puts the taste of that pizza right back in my mouth. Thanks for the memories.... and the craving for pizza.

  • @GamerBoyGU82 It was Chuck E. Cheese for me :)

  • Pure Classic!

  • Hahaha my sister and her bff love tmnt

  • Sweet!

    game was awsome

  • I should bring back that word. Cowabunga!

  • the word is still used by bart simpson..

  • Ya, but who watches the Simpsons anymore?

  • you would be surprised.

  • Mikey looks the best!

  • I miss that game so much I'm downloading this on Xbox today!!

  • one of the best games ever!

  • amo este tema !!! la tortugas ninjas son lo mejor !

  • man, i used to have 2 tmnt games for the nes, i could listen to this song all day.

  • LMFAO

the whole concept, is beyond corny, even if you think about the fact that Daoist philophy, which influences martial arts, was allegedly inspired by a turtle.

but damn man. LOL, as a kid back then you just LOVED IT.

  • Yo reprobe un año de la secundaria por estas maquinas jojojo.

Y me gastaba 10 mil pesos!!! (antes del nuevo peso) para acabarla...

  • You know you can get this on X-Box Live now? Be warned though, whoever programmed it must've assumed that everyone will be playing 4 player at once as the difficulty is through the roof! Is good to play again though.

  • i always played with Michael Angelo

  • yeah,i wish they would make a new Decent Ninja turtles game and have this and part 4 as unlockable content, with the original music and voices and all that..

  • FIRE!!....

  • Hang on April!

  • I've always wanted this game in my house. This and the simpsons.

  • me too, i wish

  • I used to love playing the video games in the arcades, also my Science teacher had a turtles mug :)

  • LOL

    good times, good times..........

  • this use to be my favorite game when i was little me and my cousin would play this for hours and we would win over and over again even though i sucked =D

  • i need this for a ringtone badly

  • lol

  • this was in arcades i think it was EPICLY AWESOME!!!!

  • COWABUNGA!

  • this that g shit

  • if you can open this in battle nexus. how you suppose to do that

  • Man I miss this game

  • In the description you said something about Battle Nexus version what did that mean?

  • Idk what he man but i think you can unlock this version of the game in nexus 2

  • This is 32-bit of 1989. Sega should have made a 32-bit console in the early 90's putting arcade games like Daytona USA, this arcade version of TMNT , Virtua Cop and Doom in better sound and graphics.

Even if they made this console today for 150$ and release the games going for it, I would buy it.

  • Dude what? Sega did make a 32 bit console in the early 90's, it was called the Saturn.

  • and the PS1 and the Nintendo 64 beat Saturn's ass unfortunately

  • I honestly don't care.

The fact you even try and engage in these fucking flame wars is evidence that you aren't much of a gamer.

  • i never intended my post to be the trigger for a flame war. and be more careful when you assume someone of not being "much of a gamer" when they really are bub

  • i has moar bits than all of you guiz

  • ok. what does your "scary" message hve to do with this? *sigh* either way, i'm marking it as spam.

  • i play this game on the computer and i make it so i control all 4 turtles! it gets real crazy!

  • How?

  • i set all of their controls to the same setting as player 1 and it worked.

  • like...where'd you play it is what I should ask...

  • on an emulator on the computer. the name of the emulator is called M.A.M.E.

    this emulator plays arcade games.

  • cool..Thank you!

  • you're welcome.

  • my favorite music was the sewer stage.

  • Hell yeah! This rocks, but my favorite is the second board of the 4 playa arcade game.

  • Mikey is teh shitz. =D

  • the cowabunga sounded like the dude who plays Howie Harty, but u wouldnt know who he is.

  • Brings back those wonderfull arcade memories.

  • Raph was my fav character he would do a spin kick attack that literally would save your quarters :p still works on the MAME version 2

  • i want this game in the arcade machine its one of my fondiest memories from my childhood

  • TMNT! are the best to me. Great job!

  • I dont care how old I am....I never quit watchin my boys the good ol' Turtles

  • I don't blame you. I'm 30 years old and I still watch the turtles. But I love watching them here on YouTube because I get to see everyone's comments on what they think is funny in certain episodes.

  • Like how comically-inept Krang and Shredder are? *smirks*

  • That one was my favorite one too!!!

  • haha i spent biiiig hard earned money on this gem of a game right here. 5 stars.

  • I remember completing this in my arcade - I got extra kudos for being a girl and putting hardly any cash in - then I would go and kick grown mens arses at street fighter 2 (original) ahh happy days...

  • Awesomeness....too bad kids these days will never know how great this stuff was...

  • so true.

  • I was born in 1993 and was lucky enough to experience all those great cartoons from the 80's lucky me. I even had a NES :D

  • so true

    iam from saudi arabia

win iam kid we watch Ninja Turtles and ghost basters and inspector gadget...etc

and now all cartoons without tast like pokemon and powerpuff girls...etc

cartoons these days makes our kids being dumb :(

  • @blzsoul I just found this came again at a local place called Fun Central! They have this game, the old simpsons arcade game and an old rampage game too! I never thought I'd see it again either it was amazing!!

  • HARDEST GAME IN THE WORLD

  • it would've been hard if you didn't have enough quarters.

  • i think maximum carnage deserves that title...but it is hard

  • com on dude this game kick ass but its still hard as hell.

  • i never said maximum carnage was better i just said it was harder

  • this was, no doubt about it, my favorite arcade game. Simpsons game is up there too

  • tmnt rocks

  • Awesome, thanks. this game is great, i remember playing it on the arcade machine so i downloaded it on the xbox 360.

  • my fav mikey 2nd rapheal then leo

but i never really care for don but he was good in tmnt3 on nes
