The poetry of life, looking from the bottom up! It's where you find the human condition at it's best. Sometimes in the worse conditions. Woah, I just clapped after he was done. I'm by myself and it's 8:30 in the morning, and I clapped like I was at a live show. Actually, I wouldn't clap seeing Tommy Boy live, I'd be too busy weeping. The man has 3 kids. Could you imagine Tom Waits as your father?

I remember watching this clip on TV back sometime in the late 70's-early 80's. It stuck in my head all these years. I was amazed to find it here when I came looking for it, hoping to see it again after all this time. You Tube is a wonderful thing.

Total class act Tom Waits is. I'm 45 and certain I've not heard or seen everything he's done - not even close and I've been a fan most of my adult life. Check out one with Tom and Ken Nordine - I think it's called Movie, two outstanding performers right there. I've even seen a vid of Tom fishing in the Amazon. Don't forget the classic coffee and cigarettes with Iggy.

Tom is a master - he's not overlooked or underrated. Like anything that is truly great you must seek it out.

watching videos such as this makes me miss the young Tom Waits... I guess everybody changes. However, Tom Waits is awesome even after 25albums and thats not easy

for a while, tom waits was the only thing i listenned to, too... his sound varried so much over time that you cant really get tired of it that easliy... at least i cant.

I love this "mellodromatic nocturnal sea" type-era of MR.Waits life allthouth his music didn't really get that simple bones of the soil taste to it till he no longer was trying to prove himself, you know. I heard he's owns a bar or something, can anyone verify this?
