That's how I got over my fear. Now my boyfriend and I have two, a Rose Hair and a Mexican Red knee. We had a Pinktoe and a Birdeater but they died a while back.
what u usslay feed him i usslay give him small bugs and for desert my spider always loves little mice he like to chase and the eat him do u give mice or somthing
i have to admit, the spider looks very healthy...can a tarantula ever get big enough or is it already large enough to eat mice? I do know that the largest tarantula eats birds, its called the goliath bird eating spider...if you dont believe me, look it up on youtube...its incredibule...dont lose that thing in your house...lol...that would be bad...
Yes yes, with a 20cm legspan they can already take mice (but not an adult mouse). Some spider keepers normaly feeds them with baby mice, that goes as a personal choice... some have ethical problems about it for mammals being capable of feeling more pain than invertebrates, and there is no such need to do it with mice when there are alternatives
completely agree. but I must admit there was a time when i was curious how its like when its hunting a mouse and i gave one to my p. regalis..still hear that awful sound it made when it got caught. wont ever do it again...

I never like spider until i got my 6 month old Chilean Rose called Anstice.
She does a web over her food and minutes after doing that she eats it.
