When I first saw the trailer, I immediately told my wife (who sat next to me) that I would like to watch it after my vacation (by going to mainland China). One month later, I originally wanna to watch 'Johnny English Reborn', but then I have a 2nd thought as I mentioned to my wife, who knew what I was thinking, and so tonite me and my wife, along with her 3 cousins to watch the movie - I didn't sleep at all (unlike some of the movies, like Avatar), this movie is an amazing and heartwarming one!

I don't know all the details,but if there was a chance for rehab + release, then I think it would've been better. As for looking happy, difficult to tell, especially with that permanent smile. Captivity just doesn't compare to the sea. I haven't seen the enclosure, but I can't imagine it being very big. These are highly intelligent beings who need stimulation and space. I highly recommend Ric O' Barry's 'Behind the Dolphin Smile'. Also 'Freeing Keiko' + 'Thanking the monkey'

After the reading the REAL story of Winter, this movie now looks really lame. Winter was found by a FISHING BOAT, not some "looks cute on camera boy" This was not the FIRST time a prosthetic was made for a dolphin, it had been done with a dolphin in Japan.

This movie is like sugar coating a sugar cookie...real story is real tasty, movie makes makes it TOO sweet.

yes this happened to a 2nd Dolphin in Japan...but Winter lost her ENTIRE TAIL...and 2 vertebrae. The damage was way worse then the other dolphins.

Her prosthetic tail changed how they make modern prognostics for humans, now they can be better from fitting and more comfortable. This info's on Wikipedia.
