  • Thank you Anne for getting my mind out from a bad moment.

  • I love her. What a great writer!

  • Ms. Rice thanks, you are very humble. I thought you were not but I was wrong

  • I owe this woman. For her books as much as for her personality and these messages. Thank you for your video!

  • Thank you Anne Rice for your encouraging words. My father is not in the least bit supportive of my writing, and sometimes it really does hurt my confidence and motivation. But I just have to remember in my heart that as long as I have the passion for writing, nobody can stop me.

  • i have some characters in my head that have been living around me since I was like eleven years old. they're everywhere and they never go away. i have no idea what to do with them. it's like having ghosts around you and you wanna share the ghosts with other people but you just can't figure out how to make people see them. the only way i can help people see them is if I write.

  • THANKS!!! Ms. Anne Rice!!! You give advice with authority. You know what you are talking about. One would be a fool not to listen and learn from your wisdom gained through experience. THANKS!

  • Mostly everyone seems to believe that writing is "so difficult". What silly bullshit. If you enjoy it, then it's not difficult, it's interesting. Like anything else. If you like it, do it. If you don't like it, then just do something else. There are a million potential professions; choose one that you enjoy. Because, if you spend your working life doing something that you don't enjoy, or, even worse, despise, you're an idiot, and wasting your working life being miserable. Forget that.

  • I'm currantly reading book two of the Mayfair chronicles and am writing a novel about werewolves and I must say, Anne Rice is a fantastic writer who has the same vivid use of imagery as I have in my works. She tries to make it as if you were there, experiencing things in the story through your own senses. The only criticism I can give to Rices' amazing work is that sometimes there is too much mundane material for too long before you get to the exciting, vivid and very entertaining parts. Bravo!

  • Her writing is so amazing! Her work is so inspiring! Thanks for the advise, Anne!

  • She's so beautiful! so intelligent. I'd like to meet her. I'm gonna cry :'( this was so cute. Unless you're some kind of Stephenie Meyer and damage vampire's image.

(I speak in spanish as you can see by my name) Thank you Anne.

  • @valentinabg09 so true valentine, she is unique. Her advices are so humble and sweet.Love you Anne!

  • outstanding advice. i love this interview!

  • Thank you so much, Anne!! I have read your books since I was 13, I am working on my own first novel, and I am so thankful for your advice. I have noticed when I feel blocked if I just sit down and begin, the words will flow. I know I am not the only person who feels this was just for me! Thank you for being an inspiration to me! Love, Jennifer

  • @jcravens073 what kind of book is it. I'm writing my own book now good luck

  • Thank you, thank you and thank you Anne! God, you just removed a very heavy stone from my chest! You amaze me with your pure honesty, thank you for the big (unknown) help you just gave me.

Always following your news, books and advices.

  • I cannot believe that someone would ever tell Anne she had no talent! Whether you like the content in her books or not, her prose is undeniably well-crafted.

  • @gorboy - That's actually the same thing I thought. Who would look at a piece she wrote and tell her she couldn't write? It's absurd, really.

  • Thanks you Anne:">

    You speak my heart out!^_^!

    God bless you:)

  • Thanks for the advice. I agree with Nostic, you'd make a great teacher!

  • "Originality is priceless." Yes! I couldn't agree with you more. I'm a performance artist and it's so hard to come up with original material, but it's the best kind and always worth the effort and frustration to create. Thank you for the inspiration! Thank you for your books!

  • thank you so much, Anne. I love to write, myself, but my fiance has even more of a passion and aspiration for it. He's not on youtube much but when he's with me when i'm on, he enjoys watching your videos with me. Your words and advice on things are highly appreciated by both him and me.

  • I think you'd make a great teacher Anne!

  • I agree! Anne is so inspiring, and I currently have a creative writing teacher in my college class and she is just so UN inspiring and scares me!!

  • So wise and so beautiful and well-thought-out. quintessence of what i needed. Thank you so much, Anne, for being who you are and doing what you do. and for all you've done, of course. Everything about you is deeply aesthetic - the look, the way you talk, it's like you come out of your own books. the atmosphere you bring with you, i wish i'd stay in it for as long as i can...

  • have u wrote anything

  • Great advice...Thanks!
