The missile locking and engagement system in the Jetwar pack is not very realistic. it can track the target by just having the nose pointed in the target's general direction.
The Izumrud radar of the MiG-17PF indeed featured both a scanning and tracking radar, separated physically.
The pilot had to get the target within a tracking rectangle on the radar screen, the tracking radar would pick up the target and keep tracking it automatically then.
You know what sucks about this video, it only shows the rockets once you launch them, then afterwords it stops showing the missiles. Plus, the damage mod seems a bit off, shouldn't it like, go kersplode instead of insta kill?
good to c it doesnt explode the aircraft like the AIM 9 sidewinder for the F-86 does (on most occasions) i like damagind the plane enough its hard to fly/cant fly and watch it go down
