Stephen Harper has blind spots that make him incompetent. Harper is still a snippy little control freak. Canadians always want to vote Liberal and now Ignatieff has provided the competence and articulation that was missing with Dion. Harper is best at shooting his toes off and anyone who thinks the downturn will be over in 2010, is a moron.
I really get the feeling that the Conservative gov't doesn't know how to handle the economic crisis.
They aren't moving quickly enough with spending and they're sitting on money that's already approved that will soon expire if not used. Get projects going with that money before you claim to be held-up.
I'm a fabricator, was laid off a month ago and I'm still waiting for these infrastructure projects to get going.
I bet I'll find a job on my own before the gov't gets their act together.
I sympathize with your being laid off. However, I don't understand how people can blame the government for not supplying enough projects for workers. The private sector is typically more efficient than the government at creating work.

Well your feeling is right. I trust Dodge more than Harper. And Dodge called him on it.
