@eteokles3 I really don't know what in the world is going on. Honestly. I watched a few of these sprints and couldn't figure out the rules. All I saw is that the person starting off in the back always seemed to win. I would really appreciate if you could educate me on this.

@dumass00072 That's the whole point. The second position is favored by most riders, because they can surprise the one in the front or if they don't attack first, they can ride in the slipstream of and usually pass in the last corner. The one starting off in the front has to lead for a whole lap and is not allowed to be overtaken. When you look at older videos you often see them track stand after the first lap trying to force the opponent to lead out the race.
